I found an interesting Jaylen Brown statistic comparison that is very reminiscent of a current star player's rookie season and I will allow people on here to guess who it is.

The comparison is PER 36 because this player averaged a few more minutes than Brown

Jaylen Brown: PTS 13.8, TRB 5.9, AST 1.7, FG% .454, 3P% .341
Star             : PTS 13.5, TRB 6.4, AST 1.8, FG% .453, 3P% .297

??????

Stats look very similar but Jaylen does not play the same way as that star...PG13. Imo Jaylen's ceiling is Dominique with a three point shot

Yes I do like the comparison, I don't think Jaylen will be the same player as George but interesting how similar their rookie seasons were. I think George will always be a better rebounder because he is longer and grew a lot, after his rookie season, but in saying that I think Brown is already better at drawing fouls. I also think that if Ainge believes in Brown that we shouldn't trade for someone like George if we already have someone who could become his equal in the future.

Yeah I agree. But well Jaylen can still grow an inch or two tbh, he's still 20. (him growing a inch would make him 6'7 or 6'8, which is a really good size for an SG/SF). Also TP for stat digging

Jaylen is not going to grow anymore. That's a freak thing when it happens. He doesn't need more size. He needs more practice and experience. Dude is so raw, but has so much upside.

Simmons made the same comparison on a podcast a couple weeks ago. I'm excited to see what kind of development Jaylen can make in his first summer and how much rope that'll earn him with Stevens. I'm optimistic.
