Would be nice to have that wisdom there, and familiarity with current players in the league to game plan against defensively.

Plus getting the players hyped .

Would love to see it after the way the team responded to his last message.

I wonder if KG has a desire to be a coach?  I just remember when he was injured in 09 he didn't even want to be on the sidelines bc it killed him not being able to come in and compete

I do agree with you though, I'd love to have him and at a minimum he'd be great at elevating everyone's intensity level

I agree as well. The KG factor of him being on sidelines for the Celtics would be intense. I believe our level of play would go up just from his presence and that would be awesome!

I do not think he wanted to coach but that was back than. Who knows if that has changed.

My dream off-season involves Pierce and KG coming back to the Celtics as advisors.
My biases, in order of fervor:
Pro:
Smart, Brown, Hayward, Tatum, Kemba, Grant Williams, Sleepy Williams, Edwards!

Anti:
Kanter, Semi, Theis, Poierier

Having KG on the sidelines would give us 1 or 2 games alone.

Can anyone here imagine him doing THIS stuff again

This was the season where he had injured his knee in Utah and there was heavy speculation (mostly by Ainge and Doc lol) as to WHEN he would come back.

BOS was playing CHI in the playoffs at time of pic and Ben Gordon was lighting us up. Thankfully we survived that series.

Boy he made his presence felt in EVERY game.

KG is CLASSIC and I love the guy.

Great picture! TP..it brings back amazing memories of our good fortune to have watched him wear Green.

The funny thing with our coaching staff bringing in KG is that if he did this stuff (berate other players) I don't think the league could do anything about it - because that's who he is and has been since he was in the league.

He is not fake or artificial.

In such a situation opposing players would have to be mentally tougher against our CURRENT Celtics team with KG prowling the sidelines - and this is not even to mention Smart and Jae's constant barking.

I'm sure that some players nowadays would complain but I don't think the league could actually fine us or do anything about it.

I can't believe you guys all overlooked the GOAT behind the two players...  :o

 ;D

Loved Scal. Still do.

He was playing well for us in KG's absence that 08-09 season - until he got that concussion.

We were not a healthy team that season.

Can we hire KG to take Amir's spot in rotation?

I think I'd trust KG at his advanced age to contribute more than Amir has in the playoffs.
