Who was at the Garden, well before game time, last night? The Celtics always gather in the corridor, and you can watch them preparing to take the floor on the jumbotron (aka "jumbletroms"). They play the music, they do some pregame rituals, and they run out onto the floor to the thunderous applause of the few fans in the arena so early.

In the corridor, Thomas had a small white cylindrical-shaped object, about the size and shape of a cigarette, maybe a little shorter. He put it to his nose and it looked like he was smelling it. Then he passed it to another player, and a few other players took turns sniffing at the object, as if it were completely normal. So what was that thing? Since they were sniffing at it openly, on the jumbotron, it could not have been anything illicit, if that's what you're thinking!

So, what was that little white cylinder, about three inches long and maybe a little over 1/4" in diameter?

Presumably smelling salts

Too often, we judge other groups by their worst examples while judging ourselves by our best intentions.

There was a miniature voodoo doll of Jimmy Butler inside it.
Marcus Smart was seen putting needles thru it pregame.

Cool.  Sounds like the 1990s Dallas Cowboys.

If the 86 Mets were serving the sniffing salts, you know what flavor they would have been?!
