Rondo will likely play limited min but his presence on the court could be a way to mess up the current celtics flow. Guys might start cutting to th basket more ....

In addition, I expect some of the Bulls role players to foul harder, bodycheck players during transition play etc

Hopefully the Celts can pull it off

I fully expect Dwayne Wade to play dirty hard.

i agree...

he is shooting 3s now?

maybe there is hope for Rondo after all

ESPN reported that the Bulls will be without Rondo for game 6 so I guess that means he is playing.

Look, I'm gonna say what we're all thinking: Forget the injury. Rondo should be suspended for the rest of the playoffs simply for wearing that suit last night.

Saying rondo might play is posturing by the Bulls for the sake of mind games and nothing more.

Playing Basketball at that level and physicality with a fractured thumb would be agony.

He will either not play or play very limited minutes and be completely useless.

Rajon Rondo ruled out for Game 6 tomorrow.
Also, Jimmy Butler has a sore knee after last night's game. Will fight through pain playing Game 6.

No excuse for the Celtics to lose tomorrow's game. Finish them off.

Rondo's one of the toughest players in the league, so I'd never say never with this. The big difference between this situation and 2011 with his elbow against Miami is that the thumb injury is on his right hand, whereas the elbow injury was on the left side. He more or less played with one hand in 2011, but was able to do so because it was his right hand. If he can play exclusively with his left hand, be effective and avoid injuring it further, all the power to him.

Good on Rondo for playing two good games in the playoffs and ensuring he'll get at least one more contract in the NBA. When he was getting benched in the regular season, I don't think that was a given. Now, he'll definitely sign somewhere and pick up a few more checks before he retires.

bradley on left handed rondo -full court pressure
-playing rondo would be a gift with no crossover
i might be open to jaylen guarding him with open season on fouling
even trapping rondo as he can't pass well with right
this is the nba you can't play at this level with that injury
with butler also in pain,it will not help your value to risk re injury to lose
going out with 2 wins as best player on floor-smart move money wise
paul piecrce  went from wheelchair to hitting deep three-so who knows

Great points Rollie. Rondo won't play exactly because of these reasons.

Does any one know which leg is sore for butler? I expect the Celtics to go hard at him and that injury.

Celtics win this one.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

This and this. Good stuff, fellas.

I like Jimmy a lot, but his mind might be more sore than his leg thanks to the memorable tete a tete with Marcus the other day.
