How is rondo going to shoot the ball if his right hand is in a cast? I don't. Think he makes a difference.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I don't think they'd let him play in a cast, unless it's some kind of soft cast.

The cast has been removed and he's in a splint now.  He was apparently shooting lefty in practice.  My guess is he misses game 5 and attempts to play game 6.

Since when? This is the guy who played for us through a badly dislocated elbow and on a torn ACL. Give credit where it's due. He'll play through pain.

If he plays and we are down just hack a rondo. Should be fun to see him shoot freethrows with a broken thumb

It was a joke related to Butler's comments about Smart.  I've always loved Rondo, more so than most here in fact.

That he is injured, which he is.

The excuse makes sense because they whooped us at home and had mostly every Celtic fan crying.

Bulls are foxing to try and throw us off our game.

I highly doubt he plays with that injury.

I may be in the minority on here, but Rondo will always be one of my favorite players. Don't get me wrong - I would absolutely hate to see us lose this series. But if we had to lose to someone, I'd much rather it be against a team led by a former Celtic that played his butt off in Boston. Rondo is a warrior. I doubt he can do much even in Game 6 if he has to play left-handed, but I wouldn't at all be surprised to see him give it a go as early as Wednesday. Not many NBA players are as tough as he is.

id imagine you are in the majority.

this blog has long been rightfully critical of Rondo, but he helped us win a championship and led us on a few tremendous playoff runs. Most Celtics fans still love Rondo and respect his old school hyper-competitive style.

Always loved Rondo, but right now he's wearing a red jersey. He's the enemy.
I don't think it's smart of him to try to play game 6 (or even worse in game 5).
Like others said, Smart and Crowder will slap his hand until he's benched.
At this point, the entire nba believes Rondo was the reason why Chicago was up 2-0.
Rondo is smart, he should leave it at that and come out with a new promising contract next year.
Instead he risks a bad injury and maybe a change of scenery if Rondo play well and Boston still win the series (proving he wasn't the main reason of Cs downfall).
I sincerely believe the Cs played with a dark cloud in the first 2 games. Unless another personal tragedy occurres again (or a starter is injured), I don't see how is possible for the Cs to lose this series.
