Donovan appears to say "can't play Kanter" after he gets torched on pick and roll defense.

Considering he has only played 8, 10 and 8 minutes the last 3 games down from 16 in the opener (when this play occurred) it seems like Donovan has stuck to it.

Apologies if this was already posted but think it is pretty interesting to show how much it hurts to be a bad defender in the playoffs and why players like Okafor and Randle that have not figured out NBA defense (or perhaps our own Jaylen Brown) can not last a minute on the court in the playoffs.

There were multiple instances in last years playoffs where Westbrook went to the sidelines and told the coaching staff to get him off the floor.  People complain about the C's big men far to much as they do a pretty solid job containing pick n roll.  It is very very difficult to defend when initiated above the 3 point line with an attacker that can both shoot the 3 and dribble penetrate.  It is near impossible to defend well when the screener can both pop and roll.

yeah, its really hard to stay on the floor as a big man if you are that miserable defensively. Teams will just attack you relentlessly.

i feel like in the past this was not as true because teams were not as aggressive in attacking them. Now it is.

Wait, I thought Kanter was great at "the most important end of the floor."   ;D
