IT4 is short , so its hard fot the refs to pickup on it

Chris Paul has got nailed numerous times for doing it

Refs will be keeping an eye out on IT4 moving fwd this series...then the celts will ask the refs to keep an eye on Dwade

Sure, they'll start calling carrying right after they start calling traveling.

If they call Isaiah for carrying/palming/traveling and only him, I'll be livid, this whole city would be. If they suddenly started calling everything by the book on every player, though, I would be thrilled because, after a short brutal adjustment period, fans of recent vintage who think old school basketball is corny would get to see how hard it actually is to play basketball like pre-Iverson generations. And it's just more fun to watch a sport where the players aren't constantly cheating. This ain't like the neighborhood rule in baseballl that happened once or twice a game. Somebody palms/carries/travels on every possession of the game. It's the most flagrantly ignored rule of any sport and it's not some minor rule but one of the fundamental laws. So, good riddance to palming and carrying and traveling. But, it better not just be called on IT.

the rules against palming and travelling are the main reasons why I did not take up basketball in high school. lol

I didn't hear anything about Brad Stevens complaining about the refs lack of goal tending calls...happened 3 times so far, in 2 games in Chicago---which could have cost us the series.

what's the advantage of palming the ball anyway? is calling a carry supposed to assist defenders in stopping ball handlers or something?

Carrying the ball makes it a heck of a lot easier to change directions at speed, or fake doing so, among other things.

Yeah, it's like being able to pick up the ball and dribble again as many times as you want.  A heck of a lot harder on a defender wouldn't you say?

IT carries quite some but he's the best at making the move legal, he keeps his hand sideways and doesn't flip it over (giving you the effects of the "discontinue dribble" but it's technically still ok because you haven't flipped your hand over). He does carry in some of those moves but he's one of the select few that do not palm the ball every single time when the move is used.
