TP, rollie.  Gerald Green has been fantastic.  He has been our modern Nate Rob/Delonte/Sheed, and stepping up when he's called upon.

I guess we are 1:1 in "Bobby Portis games". 😀
Now, heading home and forcing them to adjust their coverage and Rondo injured, I feel really good about our chances.

Just remembered Gerald Green doesnt have a right ring finger. Lost it in a childhood accident lol.

i think greens owns that big guy with beard because of his speed, length and ability to get up in air quickly on closing out-thats talking on defense
jerebko slower came in and the guy hit two straight threes
he will not take green inside because he is spreading court for butler and d wade
thought green was actually under used and at the time should have been fed by our guards
maybe holding back green left him on his streak for a boston garden start
or was he injured with all those wraps

remember the stilletto, not an all purpose knife it has a specific role a quick flick and thrust
for the rest of series green has gotten the bulls attention
he is at a different level starting games,he just comes out of gate with a burst
the whole team will benefit from chicagos game plan to limit green

Wow the whole finger? He's a legend to even be playing in the nba then, losing a finger on your shooting hand is a huge handicap

Gerald has been great the past two games, no doubt.  Just remember that Green's game can blow hot or cold at any time.  I do agree he seems to get energy by starting, but also critical is that he makes his first couple of shots.  If he comes out in Game 5 not shooting well, then it is a very different game.

Totally forgot about that until I looked up the details. He was wearing a ring on his hand and it got caught on the rim dunking. Crazy.

Glad to see him making a big impact last night. This is always what he was brought in to do, throw some fire when called upon. I'm not surprised in the least to see him get a DNP in game 2 and then be the linchpin of a game 4 victory. He's always had this kind of talent.

I'm assuming he's going to head back to the bench pretty soon and resume the role he's played most of the season, but I'm also betting on at least one more performance like last night's before the end of the playoffs.

surfer-what i  like is the arc is back in his shot even on pull ups
i and others realize he is streaky and doesn't suit certain match ups  but for now he is a chicago killer

Good first half by Green, but then save for the baseline dunk he started doing Green like things in the second half. We've all seen this movie before. There is no sustainability at all. That said, as another poster alluded to, Green is in a very envious position. If he plays well it's a plus because nobody actually expects him to do anything. Expecting much from a player that Stevens' gave 35 DNP-CD's seems like a recipe for failure. Temper expectations, Green has a long history of disappointing.

I expect more from Green moving ahead. He's always had the potential, but now has the seasoning to put it together within the context of winning basketball.

Even after 18 highly efficient points and 7 rebounds in 22 minutes of play, his doubters still hang onto the doubt.

Isaiah Thomas and I are believers. I'd like to have seen him get even more time.  For now, I'll take 22.

22 minutes in one game versus a full year of sporadic play. How could anyone still doubt him.  ::)

What was sporadic was his playing time, partly hindered by the hip injury.

And why do you think his playing time was sporadic? Because he's an inconsistent player. He shot .409 from the floor this season. In 47 games, he had 15 were he shot worse than .300 from the floor. That's basically a third of his games.

Last night was not a new Gerald Green. It's the same hot and cold shooter that's been on the roster all year. I hope he can find a little consistency now in the playoffs but there's no reason to believe this is something normal for him now.
