Random thoughts:
Marcus Smart is our dj ! All the little things along with great defense
Bulls sorely miss rajon, so why was he benched again?  None of their other pg look like they are 2nd string guards.
Butler in green

Yeah. Amazingly enough Amir Johnson didn't even play. Tell me again how Randle wouldn't play on this team. I guess KO would keep him off the floor or something.

How many Julius Randle posters are in your room?

Probably just 1 huge Randle poster and hundreds of Smart's with bullseyes and bullet holes.

Glad we have minimum 2 more games.

I love watching the Celtics!!!

Randle have low defensive IQ and have no game outside the post. At least KO is smart enough for help defense although he puts little resistance with contact.

Randle puts up mediocre numbers on a bottom dwelling team and Smart is on the court at the end of games for a playoff team.
Yeah. And at the beginning of the game he was sitting the bench watching Gerald Green. Because he has no offense. And offense wins basketball games. Even in the playoffs.

I'm proud of Stevens for subbing Thomas, Horford and Crowder back in with 10 minutes left.

Yup.  Portis scored over JJ twice in a row, then Lauvergne (or however the hell you spell his name) scored over KO to open the quarter.  That clearly wasn't going to get it done.

IT and Horford stepped up big and we needed it.  Can't fret over an extra 4-5 minutes of game time.
 They can rest tomorrow.

Actually....interestingly enough....there's only one poster of Celtics in the house and it's of Avery and Marcus.  I like it.

Brad has said in the past he wants to keep Smart with the second unit as much as possible, thats why he started Brown when Bradley was injured. You know what's consistent? Smart playing in the end of games.

Something that I haven't seen mentioned: these are the first road playoff wins of the IT/Brad-era. It's very encouraging that they've proven the ability to win on the road with their backs against the wall.

I said it earlier in the thread, but I think losing their first two games at home and having their backs against the wall was the best thing for this team.

We've seen this team play lackadaisical in many games this year, but when they decide to play and/or have their backs against the wall, they're about as good as anyone in the league.

I just really hope with a several day break before the next game that we keep this type of urgency that we've been playing with and don't fall back into bad habits of taking the opponent lightly and coasting.

Well of course he wants to keep Smart with the second unit as much as possible.

Fred Hoidberg is saying refs helped IT tonight and in the whole series because he "carries" the ball.

Haha, dear Fred.

A Bull whining about referees about tonight's game :D

Yep, got to give credit where credit is due. I was fully expecting Brad to wait too long to bring the main guys back in, which he usually does by letting the opposing run go a bit too far. But he did well by bringing in the guys when he needed to, which helped save the lead.

Was Amir Johnson a DNP?

He was a TOTP - too old to play.

Feeling a whole lot better.  Not sure C's would be where they are now without the Rondo injury, but at least C's have taken care of business.

Gotta be happy that they blew a 20-point lead on the road (again!!) and came back with authority in the 2nd half to win (again!!)
