bummed for Rondo - this series was revitalizing his career after Dallas and Sac.

happy for us, I think.  Rondo won't be picking on IT anymore but does this make the backcourt Wade and Butler?  if it does, they'll eat IT alive.

if they go with MCW instead at PG we have a real chance to bounce back in this series.

Tough break.

Prayer works...not for injury but a break.

Just what we needed, they don't have a PG.

I saw what you guys did there. Excellent. ;)

It's uncanny how bad news seems to follow in Rondo's wake.

I don't know what they'll do, but their net rating has been 20 points worse with Rondo on the bench, so what they've been doing so far hasn't worked all that well.  (That's about the only thing that hasn't worked well.)

Am I the only one who doesn't like this ?
As much as I want the celtics to win , and as much as it is our turn to have a break for once, I wanted to see these guys rise to the occasion and have their butts handed to them if they didn't.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOW This is huge.

Butler and Wade will certainly have some explosive high-scoring games, but they still need to win 2 against the Cs.

They'll still lose if they play like they've been playing the first two games.  They just need to play their best regardless of who is suited up against them.
Yup

If this means winning the series and carrying momentum into the 2nd round, then great. If we squeak by just because Rondo got injured ruining any chance he had at redemption and masking our need for a roster shakeup, then I'd rather have played Chicago at full strength.

well a stroke of misfortune for the bulls.  hate to see this happen but those are the breaks.

Celtics have hope of winning this series again.  But it has to start with a WIN tonight.

Xs and Os question for the group:

How should CBS adjust to this? Two options:
Do you put Marcus or Avery on the the new Bulls pg to force more turnovers?
Do you hide IT4 on the new Bulls pg because he'll be less of an offensive threat?

Hoiberg estimates Rondo will be out at least a week to 10 days. He's wearing a cast.

Chicago should have Wade run the PG and play Grant off the ball.

Problem with Option 1 is that IT's now covering somebody like Wade or Butler, or, if we go crazy with it, Mirotic or Portis.  Seems like a non-starter.  Gotta keep IT on their PG.
