Down 2-1, do the naysayers believe now?

Funny, how folks did not post the stuff when we were down 0-2.   I want us to win but we have a big hole to dig out of,go Celtics.
really? i remember a number of posts that were "believing" after being down 0-2. please check this thread again.

It's time for us to show up and shut the ****ing **** spewing from haters' mouths about how we are the worst first seed in nba history, how we are getting our asses kicked by a pizza guy named Zipser (no offense to the kid himself) and how we are just pure hype and a team that any lower seed would beat. We'll win this series in 6 games with the final game being us shoving a ****ing blowout in those motherf***ing c***s***ers' throats about their weak ass team sweeping us and reach the nba finals just like the Phoenix Suns did.

winning this series wont change any of that.   if we win it wont be about the celtics rising up and proving the naysayers wrong, it will be about how Rajon Rondo getting hurt buried the Bulls and bailed the Celtics out......and we'll be heavy underdogs against Washington and rightfully so.
maybe. but then again, maybe its a form of cosmic justice to balance out the injuries the celtics had last playoffs against atlanta.

this is all part of the game. long, long ago, when dinosaurs roamed the earth, i remember a celtic playoff game against detroit and isiah thomas (the elder) got hurt, turning the series to the celtics.

i see no historical foot note on that. this is sports, this is part of the game.

I believe that if Rondo were healthy and continued to play the way he did through 2 games, the Celtics were sunk.  The bigger issue to me is that Brad has lost faith in all of his bigs not named Horford.  He can't trust any of them and this series has driven that point home.

Win or lose, I think it's become obvious that Ainge needs to re-think the type of team he's going to have moving forward - and that starts with the upcoming draft.

I was, just not on this thread. The curmudgeons were out in full force after the Celtics lost two games.

"A big hole"? They are down 1 game and the Bulls are missing one of their best players who has a big time playoff resume. Did you watch the game yesterday?

Get a warm glass of milk, it's going to be ok!

For good reason, it has been a problem area for most of the year.   Amir and KO have had their spots.   But Amir is brittle and KO is soft.   Both have some skills but they do not always fight for the ball or their bodies do not obey their minds.   More athleticism please.

Ainge, could have added some bigs at the deadline yet choose not to, and he has to be aware that it is a problem.  CBS may force his hand and make him get some help.

I felt like they'd win game 3 but didn't believe they could win this series. Let's be real now with Rondo out they look like the better team. I hope like somebody pointed out wether we win/lose this series that Ainge still makes some big changes over the offseason. We need to get big, need more shooters and another ball handler.

I believe they MUST win game four still.   Game is as critical .  They are still bailing water hard as they can go.   I do blame most of the teams  funk to the IT family tragedy.  Even though IT played well ......the heaviness seemed to grab the whole team and wipped team out their spirit They needed to throw off this gloomy  weight and move on now .

If they can tie it up 2-2

Then I'll change my mind and STILL believe.

Still on a wait and see mode.

If they put together a solid game tomorrow and win again, the series is 2-2 and the Celtics have homecourt advantage back. As has been the story all series, if the Celtics play to their potential they should come back and win. Not just that they can win, I think they should.

Tie series with homecourt advantage back. If they take care of business at home on Wednesday, they have a chance to put it away on Friday in Chicago. I don't see any reason the C's can't finish this in 6.

I can suffer letdown now .   I was going to be really down on the team if they were swept by th lowly Bulls.

My confidence level is restored for the moment.

I still think we have a hard road to go, but it is doable.   CLE is the best team in the east but there is not a whole lot of seperation between the other seven teams in the playoffs with each other.

Bulls are a vastly different team without Rondo and it shows in their defense more than anywhere else.  Rondo's aggressive defense is what gave the Bulls the first two games.

I wonder what it was like to watch this year's Super Bowl with some of the Celtics skeptics around here. Guessing a lot of fun, upbeat parties!

To be fair, being down 25 points in the third quarter of the Super Bowl is a lot more depressing than being down 0-2 in a best-of-7 series, and also a lot less likely to result in a comeback. I'd be surprised if any Patriots fan can honestly say that they were still hopeful when the Pats were down 25.
