yes the game and series are not over. but even if the celtics win they will get destroyed by Washington and their bigs...its clear the celtics were a smoke and mirrors #1 seed as they are getting manhandled by a 8th seeded bulls.

to me clearly there are two major needs.

1. This team despearately needs a scorer. You can see why the Celtics courted trading for Paul george as he has put the pacers on his back. Whenever thomas leaves the court the offense stalls. they need someone else who can create their own shot and take the pressure off Thomas.

2. Bigs, bigs bigs....this is where it wouldve been nice to go after Noel or Ibaka. Our bigs are as soft as baby poo...and the celtics cannot rebound at all.

the question is who do we get to fill these holes? I am sure celtics will court Butler, George, Hayward as a scorer.

Not sure what bigs we could look at...Maybe blake griffin?

I don't know how DA thinks they win against teams with. Bigs ...Embiid , Gasol, and such

What is wrong with getting Cousins or Drummond .

Yes ...you got to pay them ......all the teams with bigs have to fork out huge contracts .

AL Horford needs help , he is not a Center in the way Celtics need  tuff guy .

Next stop, Game 3.

But yeah, we need a big. I don't think Blake would come here. Millsap solves a lot of our problems, but he's older than we'd like.

If only an All-NBA guy like Cousins was available, right?

Gotta wait to see what happens.

But as of posting, the Celts are on their way to going down 0-2 to an eight seed in the 1st round.

I would say that would be a pretty clear sign that the current group is not as good as we thought they were.

In that case, I would say anybody not on a rookie contract is on the table as far as trades go, and management should shift their focus to maximizing the team around Smart, Jaylen, and the Nets picks.

Smart terrible on offense.  We're getting ready to get blown out.  They're clearly the better team too.

1) Try to get either Hayward or Griffin in the offseason. We lose Olynyk, Amir etc in the process.
2) Get Zizic up and running
3) Get a top 4 draft pick.
4) Use our remaining assets to land backup help.
5) Hope the Nets stink enough once again.

- Trade Bradley
- Shop Crowder & Horford
- Move on from KO, Amir, Green, Zeller, Jerebko

Plan to try to re-sign Isaiah next summer to a team-friendly deal, but move on if it's not possible.

The Nets picks are the future.

The Nets picks, Jaylen, Smart, Zizic, and maybe Yab and Abdel Nader. I'm down with that

Let's not kid ourselves, the group you just listed isn't winning us many games anytime soon.

But the current group doesn't = a winning formula.  We are learning that in painful fashion right now.

Yeah, it's pretty shocking we have to blow it up and become the TWolves all of a sudden. Unfortunately Horford will be in that group because nobody will be taking him and his contract.

When you have Smart as the only enforcer and instigator on the team, you know they'll roll over like they did the last two games.
