What adjustments for Game 2 would you make?

I think starting Marcus over Amir for the defensive boast on Butler would not be a bad idea.

I'd also like to see more Jerebko and less KO.

Any thoughts?

Don't play 11 guys.

Less Kelly.

Cover Portis.

Create better shots inside the arc.

He played 11 guys because of effin foul trouble. Is your mind that simple you cannot fathom that?! Crowder and Johnson had 2 fouls after 7 minutes!

The Marcus idea isn't bad, but the idea of going even smaller scares the **** out of me.

Yeah I expected a tight playoff rotation and more minutes for bigs, but I think we might play Smart, Brown, Green, and Jerebko off the bench (disclaimer: I like playoff Jonas) or KO, but with going small at th 4, fewer minutes for KO and more for Brown/Green at the wing and Jerebko at 4. Play faster.  More minutes for Brown at SG next to IT; no IT at SG next to Smart.   That's less Smart and KO, hopefully more scoring.

Don't lose.

...

Don't get slaughtered on the boards, shorten the rotation, and stop relying so heavily on jumpers.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

This.

IMO we don't really need personnel adjustments - not to any drastic extent.  We need the guys we throw out there to commit to the glass.

I also think we did a poor job of closing out to deep shooters.  Chicago bricked a lot of open threes.  In particular, Mirotic was 0/5 from beyond the arc.

Both of these deficiencies are largely a matter of effort.

Yeah I thought about that, but Marcus shut down Milsap in last year's playoffs when he was scoring left and right on us.  I think Marcus could handle guarding their 4 and you have Al on Lopez.  Having Marcus out there could also help on switches where he could end up on one of their guards.

Might help to set a defensive tone right out the gate.

Play less Kelly Olynyk.

Is there a reason Amir Johnson can only play 18 minutes a game? Also they need to figure out what do do with smart. He had the WORST plus/minus on the night. Obviously his defense is elite, but the turnovers and offense is a massive problem.

There are adjustments we can make, obviously.  However, we can make no adjustments and win this series.  I live in Chicago, watch every Bulls game, and I am confident the Bulls can't play like tonight four out of seven games.

Less Avery on Butler. Jimmy's just too big and too strong.

This is it.
Obviously Brad never says this to his guys in the huddle.
I would tell them constantly.

We might not get a rebound all game.

My impression is Stevens hasn't quite figured out the playoffs yet. There is increased emphasis on rebounding and defense, and the Celtics don't have any bigs who can do either very well. Ainge was not inclined to do anything about it at the trade deadline which might mess up his cap situation (I'm not sure how), so they are what they are.
