Drafting is a crap shoot. Arguing about picks in the second half of the draft two years ago is silly. Even more silly is claiming you knew this player or that player was way better than some other player. Isn't the fact that our best player was taken #60 all the evidence you need of that? Oh, and the best player on the team we are playing was taken #30.
Rozier has exceeded my expectations. He has turned out to be a nice pick for #16. Isn't that all you can expect from a GM's drafting?
Go Celtics. Keep it rolling and win this series!!
I'd say you're setting your expectations for a mid first round pick very low if you think a guy who is in and out of the rotation as a 23 year old second year player is exceeding expectations.
That's not to say Portis was a great pick either. He's been up and down. But I think some of that is mismanagement of his development by Chicago.
My main issue with Rozier was taking him at that spot when there were players of seemingly similar quality as prospects who could potentially fill a need for the team, whereas Rozier is fairly duplicative with smart and Bradley.
