Celtics basketball is life.

Until it isn't.  Just another reminder that as passionate as many of us are about the C's, it's actually insignificant in the grand scheme of things.

Best wishes to IT and his family.  I won't hold it against him if he misses game 1 or even the entire series.

When IT returns to the parquet floor at the Garden, whether it be tomorrow or Tuesday or next season, he is going to learn what Boston Strong is all about and how he is a member of a community, a family, that will be there for him, as he has been for us since he became a Celtic. The crowd will be unbelievable...just watch and see.

Well said, TP.

He should just go home.  I doubt he could play well with this hanging over him anyway.  Be there for your family IT, your buddies got this.

Sad.  Don't even know what to say about it really.  Feel for IT right now.

It's definitely a tragedy.

I won't mind IT4 missing the entire series to be with his family. Do what you have to do. My condolences.

Agree 100%.  IT should take whatever time he needs.  No one can really tell someone else how to deal with this.  I know the team will pull together and hang tight until he gets back.  We can beat Chicago w/out IT if we have to.

My prayers go to IT and his family. I am not sure how he feels but I do know that she is in a better place today as God called her number to His kingdom. Please find peace during this tough time and celebrate the life and spirit that your sister brought to Earth in the 22 years she lived. May the Lord provide strength, love, and peace in this time of need.

Seconded.

You can't tell someone how they should react/cope with a death of a loved one. Family>Job. Do what you have to do IT.

Hope the guys step up in case IT decides not to play.

True. Some people prefer to cope by working though, it helps them deal. Only IT knows what he needs to do right now.
