Maybe we'll get lucky and the Cavs will rest LeBron if we play them.

Nobody has said this yet, but this is further proof that New York city David Stern hates Boston!

He's p---ed the Celtics are getting a guaranteed top four pick in a draft with four awesome players!
because Brooklyn had already clinched the worst record so resting players made no difference at all to Boston other than potentially the 1st round matchup which is what he was really complaining about
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

I think Stern is just angry that the Nets are putting the Lakers' 2017 and 2019 picks at risk.

True   ;D

Why no Stern outcry about the 4 year Hinkie tanka-palooza?

My thoughts precisely. Stern's a NY guy, hates Boston, and can't stand seeing a fairly rich team get richer, especially because of a NY team's incompetence.

Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. are you talking about? He orchestrated a regime change there.

Stop with this Stern hates Boston nonsense.

At least they had some incentive to do that.  Young player development and getting higher draft picks.

The Nets had no incentive other than avoiding the risk of injury posed by a single game in which the opponent wasn't going to try very hard anyway.
