I do remember many people here in despair for not signing him. And I can still remember some of us telling that our front office knows more than any of us know.

Business as usual.

Not surprised they released him, but I am surprised they did it now right before the playoffs. They must have someone who is playoff eligible that they want to add. Who can that be?

Not interested. Would rather sign the best d-league defensive player

Walter Tavares.  7'3" D-leaguer -- drafted by the Hawks a couple years ago.

I was fairly vocal about signing him but it was more about building momentum to give him the chance to return to form next year than anything he might be able to accomplish this year.

Still pulling for Larry to come back though if not here than somewhere. The. NBA need's more dynamic defensive bigs.

They also just released Deandre Liggins for the same reason. Wonder who's on their shortlist.

SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington

Really? I love Tavares, but it looked like he was pretty much out of the league at this stage.

If it's Ray Allen we better start burning his old Celtic jerseys on the streets.

TP, it looks like your correct. It is Tavares and Dhantey Jones. Two good pickups for them imo.

It's supposedly Dahntay (sp?) Jones again.
