So if he'd stayed on the Cs he likely would have become the all time leading scorer, that's got to be bittersweet for him

Congrats to Pierce. Top 15 all time. It's been a joy to watch his career. Glad he was my first Celtic superstar.

Congrats to Pierce . 15th in NBA, 18th if you count ABA stats. Anthony will likely pass him up sometime in the 18-19 season but maybe he keeps the spot awhile

hopefully this career accomplishment puts to rest some chatter about Pierce not being a first-ballot HOF'er.

I know that's a baseball term about their HOF selections but you catch my drife

His points from that game. Just look at how much fun he's still having. Always a great competitor but he also frequently had that big smile on his face. I think he would've been great fun to play with.

hey if tracy mcgrady made it first time, Pierce is a lock. Tracy IMO should have made it only for that 13 point 35 sec performance, that always makes you tingle.

I'm still not sure how Tracy got in.

  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.
Pierce is class. He is when he is eligible no doubt. Hopefully he works in the Front office too. Looking forward to his one day contract and retiring a Celtic.

This is great news but it makes me just a little bit sad because it means if he had stayed here he'd've just gotten the all-time Celtics scoring record.

Still, I'll happily take those lotto picks instead  ;D

Paul Pierce's legacy will be leading the C's to their first title since Bird. His second legacy will be helping the team acquire the draft picks that lead the team to their first championship since the one he won.
