Next year's cap projection has dropped again down to 101M with the following year projected to be roughly the same.  Not much of a drop but makes us signing a MAX player even harder.  Teams that overpaid for, at best, mediocre players (Lakers, Blazers) are going to regret it even more.

No. Not the Lakers. These guys just can't catch a break.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

3 more years paying 36M to Deng and Mozgov.  Probably not enough cap space to sign a Max free agent this year.  None of their young players showing themselves as true difference makers yet.  A ~50% chance to lose their 2017 and 2019 picks.  Magic is really going to have to work some magic to make them relevant in the next few years.

That is why they should have acquired Cousins
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

well yeah. I was big on acquiring him or pretty much anyone else because frankly there are never any guarantees
