You can't go small against Lebron.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Crowders a joke if this team is gonna show up in the playoffs in another first round exit we might as well blow it up. Draft a young stud pg and ship IT out.

so, do paying fans get a refund for this or what?

Given the circumstances and HOW we lost, worst loss of the season?

The Suns game was certainly bad with how it ended, but this absolute no-show and beatdown has to take the cake given what was at stake.

And we have a game tomorrow in Atlanta, too, though now that the first seed will be out of reach the losses won't really matter.

But we need to get AB and Smart back in rhythm before the playoffs.

They should be well rested going into that game....

Absolutely. They're going to go into the Atlanta game having not played since Sunday...

this effort is pathetic, but it is not a predictor of a first round exit. I mean, if we lose in the first round a blow-up makes sense, but thats a total nonsequitor right now.

Goodluck getting out of the first round.  This is how teams will play us come playoffs.  Take out IT and we are average at best.

Then next season comes and we draft.  We get the best player but we lose most of this core because most of their contracts are up.  Then comes the arduous task of having to sign bums for years to come because free agents don't willingly come here.

Danny, you are about to be exposed for **** gm you really are.  Your luck which has painted you as some genius over the years will soon run out.

LOL and there is Clench coming through with the hot take on Danny Ainge.  Go back to your cave.

Love the team.  Can't stand Danny.  Sorry, I don't think he's as brilliant as everyone seems to think.  I think he's a guy who's had so much luck come his way as a gm that is enough to fool gullible people that he's some kind of mastermind genius.  Sorry, he's not.
Clench, it can be argued that every GM is all a product of luck, list 3 better GMs than Ainge.

Don't care about any other gm.  I only care about this gm and what he's doing.

Danny is a gambler, and I fully understand you have to have some element of that to be effective as a gm, but Danny don't just have some element, HE IS A GAMBLER ALL THE WAY.

He's like that guy who has had many great nights at the machine or at the table but don't know when to logically cash in and go home.

His latest gamble?  He gambled signing a 30 year old Horford to 26 million a year in the hopes that maybe, just maybe Durant would want to sign.  How is that working for us?

How is that a brilliant gm?  How does that make any sense whatsoever?

Yeah, if it's another first round exit, then I think a full-on rebuild (instead of the half rebuild/half reload that we did) is in order. I'll roll with someone like Fultz, Brown, and Smart, along with whoever we can get by trading away IT and Horford, though we HAVE to get a better big prospect. I still think Noel would've helped us considerably, especially this p----poor defense and rebounding.

Well for the Celts this game actually was like a playoff game they knew they needed this game and wanted it. It didn't matter they were outclassed and looked like crap. I expect much more of the same in the playoffs.

Put Brown in and run the offense through him for rest of game, let him be the main guy get a bunch of touches and not be ignored like usual. Maybe get some kind of silver lining out of this disaster.

I hope Lebron sprains his ankle for still being out there. There's no reason for them to still be out there other than Lu being a Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.bag.

Definitely most deflating.  The one game we needed to win to make a statement going into the playoffs and we get run off our own court.  As many have said, the regular season doesn't mean a whole lot.  Clev still has the best player in the world, and we have a great offensive 5'9" guard.

The shooting numbers make me sick.
