I feel like there's a lot of threads on individual first round prospects but I was curious to see if anyone had some insight to possible 2nd round picks. C's currently have numbers 38, 52, and 57 in the 2nd round. I feel like if we sign a max FA these picks could become really important in filling out the roster.

I really like Sindarius Thornwell out of South Carolina. Big 6'5 SG with a 6'9 wingspan, 22.5 year old senior.

Jordan Bell out of Oregon. A smallish PF at 6'8.5 with a 6'11 wingspan but has been playing out of his mind in the tournament. 22.2 year old redshirt junior.

Nigel Hayes out of Wisconsin. Another smallish PF at 6'7 but with a monster 7'3 wingspan. 22.3 year old senior.

Luke Kornet out of Vanderbilt. He's listed as a PF but he looks kinda like an Olynyk lite at 7' and an unlisted wingspan. Shooting the 3 at 32.7% this year, but at 40% his sophomore year. Some are saying it's his shot section, not his shot. 21.7 year old senior.

I'd look for a Jonas Jerebko replacement in the 2nd round.

I agree that Nigel Hayes could be a good target.

I also like Caleb Swanigan, Semi Ojeyele, Jaron Blossomgame, and Dillon Brooks.

Alec Peters is your Jerebko replacement, for better and worse.

Tyler Dorsey from Oregon is going to be the next Malcolm Brogdon.  Stone cold killer.

Jonathan Jeanne is a high ceiling low floor guy with a Gobert type game who would be a worthwhile draft and stash.  Motley from Baylor is a 6'9 energy guy I like in the 38 range.

I hope these picks are high ceiling guys, with as many as we have if they bust it's no big deal.  Euro guys we can stash make a lot of sense, we can let them develop and see if they pan out without taking up roster spaces.  That's unless we do a big 4 for 1 trade and end up with a back end of the roster need.

Not really

Jerebko is more athletic. More explosive.

Peters would have the edge offensively

Until his season ending injury, I didn't think that we had a shot at him.

I hope he falls to us. Motley, too, as another poster said, but I don't think that he makes it out of the first round. Same for Swanigan, hope he falls, but don't think so.

Thornwell, Dorsey, Brooks, Devin Robinson Edmond Sumner (this guy will be an NBA player if he recovers from his injury), Bell and the 3Ws from Michigan all intrigue me.  And Bonzie Colson (with one of our late seconds)

Just found this thread, so I'll bump it up. Really hoping that Swanigan falls.

Tony Bradley, UNC.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-L9CR1T3tA

He has little Tim Duncan in him.  Yeah, I know how that sounds but he's got some potential and he looks sort of similar to the Big Fundamental.

Chances of actually drafting him are pretty slim because he hasn't hired an agent and may go back to school unless he is projected in the first round.  But, if he stays in the draft and makes it to the second round, I'd be ready to pounce.

Me too.  I have concerns about his foot speed, but otherwise, really like what he could be as a big man in our system.  To me, the dedication he's already shown to weight loss and improving his game as a collegiate player bodes well for his work ethic as a professional.

Hayes, Lydon are the two Jerebko replacements imo

Well Hayes is more like a Bass replacement

I like Hayes, but even performing as he did in the NCAAs, he still could be there for our later picks. He didn't get much respect till the Tournament.

Jordan bell can become a glue guy with energy off the bench. Would be a very good pick for us
