Would you sign Chris Paul and trade IT?

I really don't get why a large contingent of this blog want to ship out the C's best player who has basically turned this franchise around the past 2.5 years for peanuts. There's a new trade IT ot let him walk thread almost every day. It's like people really want to be like the 76ers. It's incredibly disturbing.

Yeah, I think it would be a real kick in the nads to IT if Danny traded him. IT has really embraced everything Celtics—the team, the city, the fans, the mystique. He's the face of the franchise.

IT age 27.

Sure let's get older and slower, and pay Chris Paul through his age 36 season at a max contract level of 36m per year... I don't think so!

Is the hate for IT this strong?  People either really have no clue or they simple want to dump him because he's 'only' 5'9.  Didn't IT just put up 29 ppg and 6 apg or were you not paying attention?

Just listened to RealGM and Danny Leroux semi-floated this unlikely idea.

Offer max to Chris Paul (instead of Blake)
&
Trade IT for assets

Note - He doesn't think that Blake and Horford would work.
