Something I picked up on in an interview with Thomas and Bill Simmons, Bill said that he loved lefties because they are hard to guard and Thomas elaborated that most defenders forget that he's a lefty being so use to guarding and defending right handers. Watching tape of Thomas going to the basket no matter what move he does to get to the hoop he almost always finishes with his left hand fully extended away from the basket with his body angled away from the hoop, even though Thomas is short he actually has a 6'1 wingspan and he uses every inch of it to create space for a lay up or shot with contact and given most blockers are right handed their blocking hand has to come across their body to block his shot, adding more space for him (compared to a right handed finish).

TP nice insight into advantage of being left handed with a righty disadvantaged as a right handed shot blocker
