TPs all around to CeltcsFL (great game thread), saltlover (elite status), phantom (recent example of self-made success), apc (Lol), and Denis (we've been thru this before - skip class!)

Crazy as it sounds, this may be the game we tie for 1st in the East. Sites like nyloncalcus and fivethirtyeight projected us to be 2nd in the East with 50+ wins, and while it seemed to be a reach I did buy-in.  Though I'm not sure many of us here thought we would be in this situation in the last week of March.  Pretty crazy.

Is the Heat Injury report missing? I read Whiteside might be out plus Waiters.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Game thread!  ;D

Great post and congrats on being first tar heel. Tp for being speedy.

Thanks to flc for the game thread and all the great work that goes into it. But extra special thanks for showing us all here what sort of shoes you wear.  ;)

Celtics win again! The march to first in the east continues!

Goooooooooo Celtics! ;D

TP Hwangjini for noticing the shoes. We had to know it was the shoes. In my best Spike Lee voice, 'Money, its got to be the shoes, right?' :)

He says he will play .   Slight ankle sprain and stitches between two fingers.   The hand issue might bother him more than the ankle it sounds.

I think he will play too.  What ever you think about him , he is not a sissy.

Nothing stopping us now.  Go C's!!!

Yeah, he got his hand caught on the rim the other day going up for a rebound and got 13 stitches.  It was pretty nasty.

Celtics are 4th in the NBA in defense rating post All-Star break. Last month they were nearly bottom ten, now they're 11th. Thank you Avery.

If we win tonight, aren't we still in 2nd? Does't Cleveland have to lose tomorrow in SA in order for us to go up the .5?

Can someone clear this up?

If Boston wins today they will have a .649 win percentage.  Cleveland currently has a .653 winning percentage.  Boston will have played 2 more games than Cleveland after today.

But if Boston wins today, and Cleveland loses tomorrow, yes, Boston would be .5 games ahead. Cleveland would have a game in hand, and could thus tie with a win.  The Cavs currently have the advantage over Boston if there was a tie, but Boston has one more game against Cleveland.

Bottom line is, we're in this.  There is a real possibility the Celtics get the top seed.

very nice summary of the situation KG. yep, that game with cleveland is looking to be important. it not only may very well decide first place, it may show whether the celtics can keep up with cleveland.

i am looking forward to it.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

yeah, we'd still be 2nd, percentage points behind the Cavs. At this point, losses are more important to looks at that wins, and they have one less than us at this point

This game is huge! The Cs need to beat the Heat so that the Bulls continue close to Miami for the 8th place. The Bulls will face the Nets twice by the end of the season and there is an incredible chance we will need them to beat Brooklyn or the Lakers (or the Suns) will have the worst record in the league
