We should root for Washington.  If the Celtics go 5-4, the Wizards would need to go 8-2 to tie our record (and we'd probably win the tiebreakers but it's not a given).  For starters, Washington is not going 8-2 with the rest of their schedule (consecutive games at the Clippers, Jazz, and Warriors next week, and only 2 home games remaining).  And a) we should probably finish better than 5-4, and b) if we don't, we didn't deserve the #2 seed anyway.

Yep, agree with everything here. TP.

I think Boston goes 6-3 the rest of the season, and that's with a Cleveland loss included.

If they beat CLE they could go 7-2.

The tricky games left IMO are Cleveland, then the two road games @ ATL and @ CHA, and I guess Miami and Milwaukee. As long as they take care of business against easy teams and win around 3 games against those 5 teams I just listed as being tricky, they should be good.

No way we lose to Charlotte. We're like 6-1 against them the last two years, and they'll be out of the playoff race by that point, meaning no motivation to win. And for Atlanta we should still be favored, especially with how terrible they've played lately and if Millsap is still out.

7-2 or 8-1 is what we'll go the rest of the way I think, depending upon whether or not we beat Cleveland. If they're already a game or so below us by the time we play, it wouldn't surprise me to see them rest their guys against us to not let us get a look at them.

LeBron already played 33 minutes

You think he does not want this game ?

He is gonna have 42-45 minutes invested .

He wants to kill Washingtons confidence BEFORE the playoffs start.

I was about to post something similar. I thought he was going to sit this one out. The Cavs defense really is that bad. They going to flip a switch to fix that? Not sure.

Are the Cavs that poor a team.....that LeBron has to play 40 minutes a game for them to stay close or win......wow..

They have a star studded roster ,.......who's who in NBA basketball the past 12 years .......surely he can play 30 minutes and the rest of the sissys win the game for him ......

LeBron pushes off and all the Cavs announcers can do is laugh it off.

The refs have swallowed the whistle... foul after foul by Cavs, no whistle yet Wizards still dominating. Wizards up by 12 about 2 mins to go.

Thanks to Lebron,  they all have their $ and a title.

Once some guys gets paid and win it all,  they stop working as hard.

if the celtics are one game behind the cavs when they play we will should see whether or not the boys from boston are contenders or pretenders.

the cavs and lebron will want to win that game for sure. let's see how the celtics do. i am hoping they play tough defense and make their shots. if they do that, they can win.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

At this point, them being a full game up on us by the time we play them will be a miracle. They'll be lucky if they're not down one full game and getting challenged by the Wiz for the 2 seed by the time they play in Boston next.
