Nice game by IT allowing everybody to get involved on offense.

The last 3 or 4 games have been the Horford I was expecting, he needs touches on offense. AB was really good on both ends.

Marcus just kills me, with those ball strips in crunch time. lol

I'm happy  ;D

20 offensive rebounds. Season high?

Previous high was 18 I think.  But 20 is absolutely the new high.
Celtics will improve to 22-2 when they out-rebound the opponent.

TP. Thanks for that!

Wow that's sensational. Note to Danny. Find another rebounder to complement Zizic next season.

Directly comparing rebound numbers is misleading because good shooting nights by us lead to fewer rebounds for our opponents (and more wins for us) and bad shooting nights for our opponents lead to more rebounds for us (and more wins for us). Comparing who has the higher DRB% corrects for that, and leads to something more like a 0.750 win % for us (better than usual, but not 20-2 good)

Assuming that we had a better DRB% in this game, we're 19-8 when we have a higher DRB% than our opponent, a 0.700 win %
I'm bitter.

Alright guys. I was at a surprise party for my cousin tonight so I missed the whole thing. TP to anyone who can give me a good summary.

We won and we're up by 2.5 on Washington for 2nd place in the East with the tiebreaker in our favor as well.

I think he and IT stay. Bradley gets shipped for value (hopefully good front court help)

It would but there's like a 0.0000000001% chance of that happening.

  • That's turrible
What's with Jaylen getting less touches? The kids been a darn good contributor as of late. Do the other players feel threatened by a rookie to take one of their starting spots/minutes? It's obvious he can score better than almost half the team.

More than half, he's legit -- size, athleticism, and talent.  Seems like he's succeeding of late because he's very good at picking his spots.  Definitely benefits from playing on a very good team, but he's also finding ways to contribute within the offense and consistently taking advantage of opportunities.

At the same time, his opportunities will be sporadic (making his readiness even more impressive, imo) because Crowder/AB/Smart are going to show up more often than not.  I'm sure that's cutting into those opportunities.

20 minutes, putting up 6 shots is about right for a raw rookie on a team that is the 4th or 5th best in the league.

He only got 7 minutes against philly though, but I felt like that was because we leaned so heavily on Jae in IT's absence in that game..

The rook who I love did not have it in the Philly game. I also think he was involved in the end of 3rd quarter collapse of the big lead with a couple turnovers.

Why didn't Marcus get credited with a steal in last night's game? He clearly ripped the ball out of the offensive players hands. If that is not a steal I don't know what is.  :o
