It's only his first game and it was in the D-league. Three blocks in 12 minutes...will be interesting to see if he's a game changer in a couple weeks.

Could Danny end up regretting not signing him?

Cleveland is not standing still on these free agent signings.

0-2 from the floor, one rebounds,  five fouls, and a -5.

He's got a long way to go before he's NBA game-ready.

It won't likely be this season, anyway.

Not at all upset we passed on signing him, he wouldn't have contributed anything. He wanted a multi-year deal, which compromised our cap space.

thanks for adding those additional numbers roy. 5 fouls in 12 minutes? yep, it is still early in his come back bid.

though to be fair, bubba wells still owns the nba record of fouling out in 3 minutes.  ;D

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Well, if Fab Melo and Jordan Mickey have taught us anything, it's that shot blocking numbers in the d league don't translate to the NBA. It's encouraging given that he has had success blocking shots at the NBA level in the past, but it's meaningless right now
I'm bitter.

After this fairly pathetic debut IN THE D-LEAGUE, I can't see how anyone could be disappointed Ainge didn't sign this guy. Does anyone REALLY believe he is going to be playing any meaningful NBA minutes this year or make a difference for the Cavs?

someone should fix the title here to make it clear this was in the development league. I thought he put the numbers up against the Lakers and I was about to say he has some hope, but that is what he did in the NBADL?

No, I'm not joking....One lesson Danny learned in putting together his lone GM Championship team is that one needs to take on major risks in order to win big. That's why he went hard to get Kevin Durant. (Personally, I thought it was absolutely absurd to take on that risk for the chances of him signing in Boston were minuscule. In the meantime it's likely he gave up other significant opportunities.)

My feeling is his reason for not signing Sanders was less of a basketball decision and more of a character issue dilemma. Danny probably feared Larry could turn out to be a bad influence on the players. Or, be constantly dogged by substance abuse problems. He already walked through that door in the Vin Baker debacle. Why possibly invite more of the same.

My guess is if Larry can keep away from marijuana and works hard to regain his old form, then eventually, he could be a force to be reckoned with some time down the road.

When he had he workout for Danny, he beat Greg Kite 15-12 in a game of 1 on 1 that took over an hour to finish. Danny pretty much passed after that and din't bother to have Larry go to Stage 2.
