I'm pretty confident the C's missing IT today was a bigger deal than Philly missing Embiid and Simmons. Present day IT is better than the present day version of those two.
Simmons has never even played a NBA game, kind of hard to say what type of impact he will ever have. Even Embiid, for as amazing as he looked at times this year, has a long way to go before he ever proves he can stay healthy.
Maybe it all works out for Philly in the long run. Maybe it doesn't. Kind of hard to say right now.
Here's our season record against the Sixers this year:
Dec 3rd. Boston 107-106 Sixers
Jan 6th. Boston 110-106 Sixers
Feb. 15 Boston 116-108 Sixers
Mar. 19 Sixers 105-99 Boston
So for a team that is supposed to be so much worse than us, they have played us very close each game and beat us in one of them.
On a related note , they average a surprisingly consistent 106.25 pts per game against us.
We are the vet team and the deep team. They are supposed to be a rag tag collection of prospects and D leaguers. Why such a low discrepancy then?
