oh well, they can come back and win against washington.

What's the point of beating them if you lose to Philly the day before...

You gain a full game.
They would have gained a game today too...

Half a game

Celtics will lose a full game on the Cavs tonight though.

+1

Brown is the guy they needed to step up - only other guy on this team who can get to the basket somewhat consistently but he had nothing today.

Something is wrong with Him and Smart
There is nothing wrong with him and Smart. He's a 19 year old rookie. He has more bad than good moments.
And that is going to happen with any rookie.

Saric is an excellent player, especially for a rookie. The Celtics really missed out on him.

Isaiah Thomas' agent need only take the tape of the last two games into the negotiations with Danny with his bottom line request for a contract extension, take it or leave it. There really is no need to negotiate at this point. IT is a max player, it is up to him if he is willing to give a home town discount.

Oh, IT is getting the max from someone.

But there is no need to do it this summer, Boston can wait until next summer and still have the upper hand on all other suitors.

Fantastic offensive player.

Terrible defensive player.

Didn't happen with Saric today. Didn't happen with Embiid when he was healthy either, and he hadn't even played ball in 2 years. These games with IT out was Brown's time to step up and he totally disappeared. Not a good sign.

So like IT? The difference being Saric has legit size and can scrap with anyone on D when he puts his mind to it.

This team absolutely needs to find a player or two, besides IT that can put the ball in the hole. They're loaded with inconsistent roll players, that play hard but can't score when needed.

I don't care who they play in the playoffs, if they control IT... it's lights out for the C's.

This team just would not allow me any sense of confidence going into playoffs.

Eh, I don't think Saric will ever be anywhere near as good at offense as Thomas.

Saric's issue on defense is that he is too slow to defend SF's and too weak to defend good PF's.

The only guys on the roster that have the potential to create their own shots and score besides IT are Rozier and Brown, and both of them are not ready yet to step up.

That's why getting a player like Hayward is so valuable. Some people argue that statistically he's not much better than Crowder, but Hayward can handle the ball and create his own offense and offense for others, that is huge for this team.

The end of the 3rd quarter 2 consecutive turnovers that led to points with under a minute to play is what changed the complexion of the game. They got confidence and we wasted a great Horford game. If IT is not back for tomorrow we will be buried by the Wizards again.

He lead the Sixers over a win against us today as a rookie with a poor supporting cast. I'd say his future looks pretty darn good.

This game makes it that more likely Danny drafts Fultz with 1st pick and trades pick for Butler if Fultz not available.

Or do whatever we can to sign Hayward.

Absolutely true.
