what a stupid prank... i would sell the car

Oh god, are you about to turn this into a "Jaylen's teammates are mean to him" thing? Every rookie gets pranked in the NBA throughout their first year.

I'm officially seeing myself out of this thread because he see the usual suspects are showing up and it's about to be a DEFCON 5 situation.

pranks are fine, but ruining a new car?

you can't properly clean that
Brown is making 4.7 million dollars this year. Im sure he can afford to get his car cleaned.

This is not about money

so he makes 4.7 million,  should he eat out everyday....buy whatever he wants on a daily basis?

Sometimes I don't know if you're serious or you're just here to instigate arguments. Its getting ridiculous.

No it isn't.  You simply disagree with him about this, and evidently, other things, as well.  No need for such melodrama.

They say the worst relationships are those in which feelings are seldom or never expressed. Chances are these occasional types of interchanges bring the two of them closer together.

Obviously, if they happened everyday then that would be a different story.

Its not melodrama. Its really does feel forced sometimes given the arguments used, and I am not alone in that. And yes it is ridiculous that a simple popcorn prank is harmful and out of the ordinary. It is also ridiculous that it is being connected to the Smart-Brown beef.

This has been building for a while.  It's unfortunate but Smart can't co-exist with JB.  Smart also CLEARLY has no memory of how badly he himself has sucked offensively for his first three seasons if he's exploding on JB for not "waiting long enough" on a play. NEWSFLASH SMART, not waiting long enough on a play is your MO bro.  The Celtics can't afford to have Smart stifling the growth of talented offensive players.

It's too bad because he really does play above average D, but they're going to have to trade Smart sooner or later to let their Blue Chipper develop.

There is a CLEAR pattern of hostility from Smart towards Brown.

Weird that Jaylen was the last guy to sub during Nets game. Wonder if Brad was sending message or if just a match up thing. The fact Jaylen did not score has to make you ask whether it affected him. Probably reading too much into this but that's how my mind works LOL.

Although this video does seem a little aggressive by Marcus, I am not sure this just isn't making the kid tougher. Thanks for the video though - it is a good watch. I liked how Marcus celebrated on Jaylen's behalf when he beat Gerald one on one.

you can't properly clean that

$4,743,000.

That's how much Jaylen Brown will make this season. Pardon me if I'm not queuing up the world's tiniest violin for his "totaled" car - which it isn't by the way. It's not like they filled his car with applesauce, a good detailer will likely be able to clean it. He posted it to social media because he thought it was funny. You're feelings are more hurt than his.

This particular prank isn't new in the NBA, btw.

EDIT: Ilikesports17 beat me to it. TP.

FYI for anyone still worried about Jaylen's car.

Yeah, itīs not like the big time rookies even buy their own cars they use for games, they get paid by some local dealership to drive their cars for promotion.

In the 7 games since this happened Smart and Brown have played 79 minutes and have been outscored by 73 points while on the floor together.  That is -45.2 points per 100 possessions and somehow the C's still won 5 of those games...

In those 7 games Smart has played 120 minutes without Jaylen on the floor and is +32 in those minutes.  Jaylen has played 38 minutes without Smart and is +29.  Maybe just a coincidence but that certainly doesn't look good.

Id say that's mainly due to them playing with the first unit, specifically IT, when they're playing individually and not with the other. On the other hand, when they're playing together they're largely playing with a primarily bench unit without IT. This corresponds to us really struggling lately when IT is off the i.e. we just can't score efficiently without him.
