We can't assess whether it was a mistake because we don't know what the cost was.

If it was Rozier + a #2, or Young + LAC #1, it was a mistake.

I remember reading about him as an NBA prospect. The low-down on him was that he was not athletic and kind of slow, but a solid rebounder, with potential to be a good scorer. They didn't say he'd be a monster rebounder and scorer.

IMO it depends the style of play you choose for your team. Your team can't be everything, you have to build a team where the pieces fit together.

Our brain trust wanted a team that spread the floor, pace and space remember?...Would he be a good fit? Obviously DA didn't think so.

Left out "20" rebounds.....and highlight "6" blocked shots!  Didn't want to pay up for DMC, but hasn't what he brings to the table EXACTLY WHAT EVERYONE HAS BEEN SCREAMING FOR ALL YEAR???
Meanwhile Danny sits at his desk and pours over "my precious assets, I'll never let you go! NEVER"!

It seems hard to believe it would be more than that right? Denver had to throw in a number 1 pick to trade him for Plumlee. Unless the Denver front offense is super high on Plumlee for some reason, the cost seems very very low.

I've been saying this since the deadline. He would of helped us in a major way. The next mistake is going to be passing on Larry Sanders for cheap and watching him play great in cleveland

Larry Sanders is a self-admitted pothead. The Cavs are desperate, we are not. They can have him.

I'm a self admitted pothead too.

Wait, I can't remember what my point was.

Denver really wanted Plumlee. It was Nurkic and a 1st for Plumlee. Denver wasn't looking to dump Nurkic for someone young and a 1st in a future year. They gave up a first rounder wirh Nurkic because they believe in Plumlee long term. Let's just look at this logically and realize he wasn't available to us because we didn't have what Denver wanted, which was a player of Plumlee's quality.

I'm sure 90% of the league are pot heads what does that have to do with signing Larry Sanders. LeBron James and Randy Moss both future HOFers in their sport both smoked weed regularly before games in high school. Josh Gordon we all know is a pot head but when he was on the field had the best numbers as a wide receiver

ANOTHER 5 block game for him last night...

In 13 games for Portland his numbers are:

Min     Fg%   Ft %   Rbs  Ast  Stl   Blks  Pts
29.9  .490    .719    9.4  3.8  1.5   2.1   13.9

His per 36 numbers with Portland are consistent with his career per 36 numbers.

Portland is  9-3 since Nurkic became a starter.

He is who we thought he was... HUGE miss by Ainge.
