Actually they gave trump a better chance than almost anyone else, and got flack for being too slanted towards him.  And they called the Obama elections almost perfectly.

Yeah I was gonna say, a lot of staticians were giving 538 crap for not predicting > 90% of Hillary winning. They also got crap for being so volatile week to week and giving Trump any shot at all.

what was our % beginning of the season? I believe everyone has written off the Celtics of obtaining the #1 seed beginning of the season

also, I think it's a great honor to be in conversations of #1 seed and even have a small % of winning finals

I think we will not win this year or the next but I do think Danny has built a great core going forward with Smart/Brown and 2 future #1s coming in soon

and IT and Bradley entering their prime soon, this team in 3 years, has me super excited as IT/Bradley/Crowder will all be entering their prime and hopefully Brown and Smart will have matured their offense game as well, and hopefully Smart becomes that Draymond Green for us, the one who does all the little things. Brown will be our next superstar or all-star who can create his own shot besides IT

Yabu and Zizic coming in and learning from veteran Horford.

I'm not pessimistic on this season or next, just extremely optimistic for the future and how this team will grow.

Kinda glad in a way Danny stood pat this year, so we can continue to develop our young core.

a 1 in 5 shot at making the finals? are you kidding me that is unreal.

hate to say it,
but i think if we played the Cavs in the ECF and all seven games were in boston, we'd lose the series.

unless LeBron gets hurt. that's our only real chance this year to make the finals.

even then, it would take a second injury miracle for us to beat whoever wins the west.

I haven't changed my expectation.
I will still be happy if we make it out of the first round.

If they can get to 52 wins they have a shot, because Lebron needs to play 38+ mins for that team to win right now.

LOL what a complete joke.

May I recommend dropping by your local community college and taking a civics course?

In which, they will teach you all about the electoral college, it's purpose, and why no candidate campaigns simply to get more votes.

The more you know.

How, how, how do the Cavs have the same % chance as the Utah Jazz at winning the NBA championship?

And the Wizards are 1/5 as likely as Cleveland to get the East's #1 seed, but are twice more likely to win the title?   ???

their model incorporates recent trends and such. 3 game loosing streak to teams they were heavily favored against set them back quite a bit
