    Assumptions:

    • the Celtics end up with the 3rd pick
    • Fultz and Jackson are off the Board

    1. Do you put together a package of 2017 #3, 2018 Celtics pick + salary filler for Blake Griffin?
Clippers do not have a pick in this years draft.

    2. Roll the pick forward to '18 or '19 if possible

    3. Pick Ball, and put Thomas on notice.

Adding another guard to the mix such as Ball would mean that Rozier and probably Thomas will be gone in 2018.

IDK who black griffin is, but Blake is a free agent, so you cant trade for him.

also, I think rolling the pick to '18 is really unwise.

Id take Tatum or Ball (consensus is gonna be ball, but I actually prefer Tatum).

Ball could easily play with Isaiah.

Tim Duncan, Oscar Robertson, Elgin Baylor, Scottie Pippen, Willis Reed, Mitch Richmond, Sam Jones, Dan Majerle, Bob Cousy, Rasheed Wallace, Shawn Kemp, Marcus Camby

If PG and Butler are available for the 3rd/4th pick and fillers, you trade it. Otherwise, take Tatum.

Isaac has a huge upside, can score in a variety of ways, very athletic and is a matchup nightmare for teams game planning against him.

Well sure, yeah, but what advantages does he have beyond that?

I don't think it's mentioned enough how important mobile bigs are in Brad's system. He could play the 4 for us and really plug that hole long term once he earns minutes. He rebounds, protects the rim, spreads the floor, switches onto smaller players. He's a tremendous fit. I'm not all about drafting for fit but if I were he would be very high on my board. As it is he's likely 3 or 4 but i'm probably higher on him than most.

Gameplan against him? Why would a team do that at this point? He isnt creating shots or opportunities for others. Potentially good yes. Game plan for um no not yet. No where close.

Issac doesn't impress me in the least bit. You take Ball and play IT off the ball in the half court long term. Quite honestly I don't see one player in this draft that could start for the Celtics next year. Too much proven talent on this team.

Well I dont think the goal is to find someone who starts next year. You are looking for a guy that can be a foundation piece over time.

Im not big on Ball but I certainly like him more than Isaac in the top 4. I actually have Ball as my 4th prospect and Isaac in that 6 - 8 range.

How about the draft day trade of
                C's trade AB, Smart, C's 2018 1st and Clippers 1st for Butler
76ers trade Okafor and two 2nds  for AB.
Bulls trade Butler for Smart, Okafor, two first and two 2nds.

If you do that deal and account for the cap hold of nets pick but still renounce all the non guarantees you have just slightly lower than the max money still. Recruit Griffin with that $.

Starters= IT, Butler, Crowder, Griffin, Horford
Bench= Rozier, Nets pick, Brown, Nader, Yab, Zizic.
With that great starting five recruit some vet guys that will play for min for a ring chase.
