Everyone believes Hayward and Griffin are DA,s targets. If he continues to improve at Dallas, wth more MPG , Noel may be the real target. Only 23 in March,we could place a high offer on him.It would be much less ,than max for Hayward or Griffin . With the play of Crowder and development of Brown.Hayward is superfluous. Griffin is aging and injured. Griffin wingspan is 6'11",Noel is 7'3-3/4". He is already a better rim protector. That would give us the cap space we need. Bigs would be Noel-AH-Zizic and a resigned KO.Other options resigned AJ,Yubo,JJ,other fa,s like Dedmon. If drafts fall for us 1 of 2 highly rated bigs on 2018 Ayton or Bamba.

Dallas will match on Noel. If we'd wanted him, Danny would have traded for him.

Ainge may look to Noel but only if he doesnt believe we have a real shot at Griffin or Hayward.

Its about maximizing talent level at the lowest cost of Assets.

Griffin and to a lesser extent Hayward substantially increase the talent level of this team. Griffins passing makes him a great fit and Hayward obviously could be utilized well be Brad Stevens.

Plus, if Ainge wanted Noel long term you have to imagine he would have pulled that trigger on deadline day.

If anything, I suspect someone like JaMychal Green may be on Ainge's radar. This is in relation to us striking out on Hayward, and Griffin.

I would prefer Otto Porter over Noel.
2019 historical draft.  Pick 12

Tim Duncan, Oscar Robertson, Elgin Baylor, Scottie Pippen, Willis Reed, Mitch Richmond, Sam Jones, Dan Majerle, Bob Cousy, Rasheed Wallace, Shawn Kemp, Marcus Camby

  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.
Noel will stay in Dallas they did not give up a first round pick for a rental for a posible 8th place.
Heyward we are in the running for because of our coach, tradition and we have a bright future. We need to hope someone throws money at George Hill and he signs then Heyward would be more likely to leave. Griffin is not leaving where he can get more endorsements than here.
Here are our center choices in free agency
Roy Hibbert    DEN
Alex Len    PHX RFA Bird
Nerlens Noel    DAL RFA   Bird
Zaza Pachulia    GSW
Kelly Olynyk    BOS RFA   Bird
Mason Plumlee DEN RFA Bird
JaVale McGee    GSW
Jeff Withey    NOP
Joel Anthony    SAS
Andrew Bogut    CLE

How do we get a big man?

We aren't drafting one. Not this year.

Chances on a great free agent big man are slim.

We better hope Zizic is great.

Horford is a great big, despite the negativity we see on these boards. KO is a role player, on good nights he will look like a starter, but he's inconsistent. We'll see if either JJ or Amir is retained next year but we are really one rotation level big away from being good. If Zizic can become a productive big man off the bench then I think we have solved our problem.

Use the room exception to re-sign Amir, keep the same starting 5. KO and Zizic off the bench and then sign a 5th big for the vet min (perhaps someone to take a long shot on like Sanders). And then of course there is the possibility of Yab

You realize they did not give up a first round pick? They gave up two seconds. I really hate how Philly was able to trick fans with this.

If Dallas wins more games they could lose it this year but yes it looks like 2 seconds for Noel. Nobody wants to trade with Boston.

Dallas could win every game the rest of the season and there would still be a good chance they keep the pick.
