Trap game + lately how the Celtics have been playing in post All-Stars game....this will look like a bad loss for the C's.

But let's go Celtics! Hopefully they sweep them for the first time since 2008.

So sweeping them this year = Banner 18 this June?  8)

Possibility of a total letdown is always possible when dealing with such a poor basketball team like the Lakers .  A tanking squad.

Lakers  are in the PLAY HARD nothing to lose mindset , relaxed , home court ,  Celtics off time schedule and I think are often apt to play down to teams like this.

Hopefully Marcus , Jalen and Crowder don't mess around.

TP FL - great thread as always.   looking forward to C's kicking Laker butt -  a victory even sweeter than beating Bron
Not for me.  The Cavs are the EC enemy to beat.  Lakers are nobodies.

That said, there's the "game within the game" competition between front offices:  I want to see Jaylen Brown have a better game than Brandon Ingram and Marcus Smart have a better game than Julius Randle.   ;)

Guaranteed win tonite.....LA in must not win mode(to preserve their top 3 draft pick).
The other nite they were kickin' Hornets butts by about 9 with a minute left in the third quarter, and then inexplicably(well not really)took out their starters and didn't bring them but a couple of them back until only 3 minutes left in the game.....now DOWN by 5, and lost!  Play good, but make sure you lose!
Think they'll keep it close before purposely tanking at the end!

Magic has no scruples about losing on purpose .   I hope eventually the NBA does something that punishes or makes teams not likely to dump their vet players in order to move up in the draft.

We waste nearly a half season anymore watching teams that are not competing

To that point I kinda want IT and crowder to rest...even though its not the most opportune time.

Smart,Bradley,Brown, JJ,Horford starting would give Brown/Smart some good burn time plus another chance for Bradley to knock off any rust left over AND to try and feed Horford, build off the momentum from Cleveland. If we are not adding anybody, we need to take the time and opportunity to get this team to compete at their highest level

Game vs. Clev WAS their highest level----and barely squeaked one out against the Love-less Cavs AT HOME!  It was a great, exciting game, but hardly one to convince me that we stand any kind of chance against them, healthy, and in a 7 game series!

A Lakers win here isn't that bad in terms of the draft race right? Lol Hoping Brooklyn loses tonight too!

I am worried about this being a trap game as well.  C's on an emotional high after the big win against laBron.  C's got come out focused and aggressive in their effort tonight.  LA doesn't have much of a chance at catching the Nets for the top pick no matter what, so lets win this and get on a roll.

Gerald Green available to play tonight.   Tyler Zeller out with an illness.

The lakers are so screwed, They are going to be paying Deng + Mozzy 30+ million for the 3 years. They have been dropped from the rotation since Magic became GM. (the right descision IMO, develop the young guys and all)
