he may be trying to penetrate but gets hung up ,clumsy as he attempts to pivot and gets tied up at best
clear path to hoop and he kicks--a sorry spectacle the last few games--

He's a roller coaster. He was pretty lights out for like 3 weeks and then had back to back clunkers (to put it mildly) where he basically makes you want to punch a baby in the face. That's who he is. He's an inconsistent bench/role player at this point.

Yup. I was yelling at the TV when all he had to do is lay the ball in, and kicked to out for a 3.
He teases you by have 3 or 4 good game, than reverts back to being timid and awful again.
Think I'm fine with the Celtics letting him walk at the end of the year. Maybe he needs a change.

I think this is the nail in the coffin for KO's big contract. He's just too soft and too inconsistent to be signed for a big money.

I keep telling guys he looks like what ownership thought he would be for 41 games and the other 41 games he's a rec league player.

If Olynyk would learn to shoot hook shots with either hand, he could score at will.
Tommy told him to do that, and he ignored it.

I am a huge KO fan but this post is true.. Why cant the light just stay on with this kid.. Never have I seen a player that plays like a season saver for a week and then like the last guy picked at the Rec for the next 2...

You see, players are human beings. Human beings tend to be inconsistent.

He's just happy to be here...no focus, no drive, no intensity.

If the Celtics were the Beatles, he'd be Ringo.

Rollie a couple weeks ago you made a thread praising Olynyk and many, like myself told you it was just a matter of time before he disappeared and started playing awful for a stretch. You and others refused to listen. This is what Olynyk is. He is maddenly inconsistent and goes through regular stretches of playing great then regular stretches of disappearing and doing nothing. He has been doing it for 4 years. You just have to expect it with him.

If the C's sign a max free agent Olynyk is gone and I can't say I will be disappointed. I find him to be one of the most over rated players on this team and sure as hell wouldn't pay him $15+million per year to be an inconsistent backup

Imo he is not being used correctly

CBS wants him to strictly be this Center/PG

He was known to very good in transitional ball... Celts never run anymore

He never gets paired with a legit rebounder/shot blocker

Tp!

Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

I mean, if IT isn't worth 30M despite the season he's having overall..

Then KO sure as hell is NOT worth 14M+ a year to us...
