Andrew Bogut is expected to hold talks with Cleveland, San Antonio, Houston and Boston before choosing his next team, league sources say.

At least we are actually pursuing him, unlike Terrence Jones apparently. That makes at least one legit big man that Ainge is trying to acquire.

Of those teams, Boston has the most salary cap space next year.  Do you make a wink-nudge deal to give Bogut a significant contract next year if he signs with us now?  We'd be giving up the chance to get a top free agent, but with a top 4 pick, Yabu and Zizic all likely joining the team next season and our own players to resign, pre-emptively "settling" for Bogut might not be a bad idea.

There is absolutely no chance that Ainge gives up our ability to sign a max free agent this summer just to get Bogut. If he was going to do that, he would have already traded for Noel instead.

New: According to a league source, Andrew Bogut has strong interest in joining the Celtics

Center Andrew Bogut, who was waived by the 76ers on Monday, has narrowed his list of potential suitors to five or six teams and the list includes the Celtics, a league source said on Monday night.

The source told the Globe that reports stating Bogut has decided to sign with the Cavaliers after he clears waivers on Wednesday are inaccurate, and that the Celtics are very much in contention.

Bogut is hoping to speak to a few Celtics players over the phone on Tuesday to get a gauge on how he might fit with their team, the source said. According to the source, Bogut would like to select his new team by the end of Tuesday.

outstanding. Given his injuries i find it hard to imagine him being a big difference maker, but don't want him going to Cavs out of principal. I like the idea of limiting teams to one buyout player.
