IT was horrible tonight, and I'm glad the streak ended, because the way he was chasing it was dangerous, but the number of people killing him is ridiculous. Harden has bad games. Westbrook has bad games. Isaiah has bad games. It's okay; he's human. We're nowhere without Isaiah, and we should remember that.

We're nowhere with him so :P

TP

the hate on this board has gotten a little ridiculous.

One bad game doesn't mean that IT sucks or that the Celtic suck.

It's a loooooong season. There will be days like this.

As with most of your posts, this is just nonsensical. We're the 2 seed and on pace for over 50 wins.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

No, we're probably not a playoff team without Isaiah, but where would he be without the Celtics?

He's gotten to this point not only due to his talent but also due to this offense and playing within this system. He's been playing selfishly and it's hurt the team at times. He has to get back to playing more team-oriented ball.

The C's looked tired.

When IT struggles to score, he has little use. He's not a good enough of a distributer of the ball to decoy himself, rather he just keeps trying to score the ball. Only the NBA is starting to figure out how to defend him, everyone is using the same formula to do it too. Lets just call it an off game for IT.

We were out rebounded 42 to 31, not good.

On the positive side Brown is looking better and better.

Pretty much this. Let's not pretend that this system hasn't elevated his offense to this point by giving him all the freedom, touches, and shots he wants. But he's went overboard with that freedom lately, and Brad has to reign him in.

And let's also not forget the fact that IT is a MAJOR negative on the defensive end of the floor, so he's actually significantly hurting us on both ends of the floor when he has off offensive nights and forces up crap possessions all night long. If he wants a max contract, then he has to be better.

Max mentioned Russ and Harden, but neither of them are the major defensive negative that IT is due to his historically small size. They also do other things in the offense and rebound much more than IT, so they're not as limited to scoring as IT is.

If he wants a max contract, then these types of nights just can't happen for him. He's too incomplete of a player to do so. Missing 17 shots and having 7 TOs is just inexcusable, and it goes way beyond him just having a bad shooting night and gets into him forcing shots trying to get his. That's selfish basketball and has no place on our team.

You really do enjoy when the Celtics lose, don't you? You get some sick high, some wierd form of vindication because when they lose it somehow makes you think you're right in being able to spew all the negative, hate filled crap thats been coming out of you for years. You're act is growing old man. Everyone has figured out you're nothing more than a Celtic hating troll that just likes to insite people.

Just watched the highlights. Dwight shoved Horford and the Celtics still lose.

Man what is wrong with this team post-All Star Break.

I'm a realist!  If your ok with watching a team built to bounce in the second round year after year then maybe you don't understand the definition of a fan.  fans have passion for their team and don't just take what their given and accept it.  If I have passion for something and I see it possibly being harmed I'm gonna say something not just sit back and be ok with it happening.  If your ok with watching an overachieving squad get exposed in the playoffs year after year then so be it.  If your ok with a team sport being determined by the contributions of one player, then you enjoy it.  If your ok with watching teams around you get better and your team continues to struggle in glaring spots without it being addressed, then you enjoy that. But don't come barking at me about fandom when I want this team to be better while you and your kind are ok with whatever you get.

Sure IT had a bad game---but the Biggest TURD out there was Kelly Olynyk once again...playing like a SPAZ. Dude played well for about 2 weeks---and now he looks like he's on weed or something. Pathetic excuse for an "NBA" player.
