Blake fills many needs and would be an excellent fit. I also believe Brad can land us Hayward.

ugh, can't believe the Blake love fest, for me he's too injury prone, not a factor on defense and going to be too expensive.

Also he's not a realistic target as I just don't see him leaving LA

The injuries are absolutely a concern, but he's a passable defender, solid rebounder, very good scorer, and outstanding playmaker. He'd be a great fit.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Best guess is Kelly Olynyk.

I can't believe so many are down on Griffin. I mean, the injuries are certainly a concern, but he pretty much looks back to close to 100% now.

I mean, this guy is a legit MVP candidate/perennial All-NBA player. He's clearly a step above Hayward. But the best thing about Griffin over Hayward is that he actually fills a position of need. If we'd get him, we're legit title contenders without even making any more moves, even though we assuredly would.

The other theory is he's looking to use the cap space to extend IT.

http://www.celticsblog.com/2017/1/15/14281028/celtics-salary-cap-update-new-cba-edition
According to some analysis done by saltlover we will have $22,445,771 in cap room if we clear all our free agents but keep a cap hold for KO. Using almost all the cap space we could extend him to say $28m, he could earn more over the next 3 years than if he waited for FA in 2018. We would still then be in a good position to trade for Butler or George using a combination of Bradley, Crowder, Rozier and the Nets pick.

Probably not route A, but still interesting to think about

Actually you could be right apparently it would be far cheaper for us to extend him this summer than extend him in 2018, something like 30 million cheaper. Does anyone know the details about this?

Can we pay him max money next season so we can get the cheaper rate?

I'm definitely a bit higher on Hayward than you (and maybe a bit more reserved about Blake), but, yeah, landing Blake would be a coup. He'd take this team to the next level.

If you can sign Hayward you do it without hesitation, but I am worried about fit.

Milsap fits well, but I worry about aging.

Griffin has the injury issues, but Im willing to risk it. He takes us to another level.

I think a healthy Blake would be the first choice.

Blake has never been healthy, so i'm happy to stay well away from him
