A win is a win. Great stuff from Jaylen and Marcus.

Basically my sentiment as well. There not all great Ws but I'll take em.
Celtics fan for life.

I was trolling, guys.  JB just supplanted Ryan Reynolds as my man-crush.

Per Sean Grande:

18th time C's have won rebounding battle against opponent. 17-1 in those games.

Sometimes it's about rebounding as a unit and putting in the effort.

I don't know whats more surprising, the fact that we are 17-1 in those games, or that we actually out rebounded the other team in 18 games this season.

I love how JB plays with the starters. It's obviously awesome that AB is coming back, but it's gonna be a bummer to see Jaylen relegated to the bench.

Yeah .....hard leaving your " new Ferrari " parked on the bench ..... ;D

A lot of hate for KO after one bad game. Before this, he was playing EXTREMELY well for a pretty good stretch. JJ has been absolutely putrid for some time now (the mask isn't helping) and we seem to be glossing over that.

Anyway, great way to finish off the win tonight. Nothing I enjoy seeing more than Smart, Brown, and even Rozier performing. The effort on the boards down the stretch from Crowder was also encouraging.

This is a list of players that signed for $10 to just over $11 million last season (the range you want to pay Kelly in):

Courtney Lee
Solomon Hill
John Leuer
Joe Johnson
Al Jefferson
Jared Dudley
Mirza Teletovich

Even when he struggles, Kelly's worth more than those guys.  $10 million might have been okay before the jump, but now it would be a really insulting offer.  I don't know if he'll end up signing here (since Danny will be trying for a max FA), but he'll be getting much more than $10 million next year.  And if we aren't willing to give it to him what he deserves, teams will be lining up looking to sign him.  He's not a max player, but he's absolutely worth ~$15 million a year under the new cap.
I'm bitter.

Interesting stats to come from tonights game;

- Andre Drummond grabbed 71 rebounds in 4 games against C's (most in 24 years)
- Isaiah Thomas: scored at least 20 points in Celtics-record 43 consecutive games, led team in scoring in 23 straight
- Jaylen Brown now 13 for 25 (52%) on corner 3s. He's 12 for 49 (24.5%) from above the break.
- Boston out rebounded Detroit 52-45, 18th time they've won rebounding this year (they're 17-1 out of those 18)

I still think he's going to get plenty of minutes. Some other guys may see their minutes scaled back a bit.

Agree, he should not command more than Leuer who makes 12 million a year.  10-12 million is what he real value is I think.

When Crowder helps rebounding as he would every night, we are a much better team.

However, I can't remember a season when we don't have blowout wins/losses (well, so little amount of them) and starters have to play so many minutes. I'm starting to watch Isaiah as the primary cause for that, scoring in bunches and getting scored in bunches as well. This notion of not giving the starters rest at the end of some closed games can be very harmful in postseason. Our best players may be burnt (Body and mind) because of our physical game, each night is a war.

No hard criticism, just figuring how we could get better.

Yes, that's a concern.
Watching all the games, it's obvious that we dominate (more often than not) but we are not consistent during 48mn.
I blame the bench for that. No AB makes the bench weaker. Not Green isn't helping at all either.
I still think once AB healthy they will start to win weaker team by a greater margin.

I disagree.  I would be surprised if he averages more than $13 mil a season.  $10 mil is probably wishful thinking, but restricted free agency typically keeps offers down when it looks like the team with matching rights will exercise them.
