Is Bradley still out?

This injury is looking more serious than some thought. Especially since the medical staff gave him the OK to  play one game, shortly after he was originally diagnosed with the injury.

I expected him back tonight.

Avery Bradley (Achilles) is officially out for Friday against the Raptors.

The good news is he is getting very close. He had a lengthy workout on Friday and is scheduled to have another practice on Saturday. Coach Brad Stevens also said Bradley will play "sooner rather than later." His fantasy owners should have him ready to roll next week.

Lowry is OUT!

Jaylen Brown (hip) will return to the starting lineup and Marcus Smart will move to the bench against the Raptors on Friday.

It'll be Isaiah Thomas, Brown, Jae Crowder, Amir Johnson and Al Horford. Brown played 24.5 minutes per game as a starting guard with just 9.0 points per game, so he's not really a great fantasy option. His return suggests Smart will be back around 30 minutes tonight.

If Bradley is still out yeah it's time to worry. Just not a injury you want to screw around with.

Kyle Lowry out for the Raptors.  Hopefully the Celtics don't think they can skate through the game like they did in Sacramento.

Bradley wanted to play tonight but the medical staff said no.  He went through 1/3 of practice on Thurs and said that he felt great after.  They are just being extra cautious since he came back once too soon and it caused more swelling.

He's aiming to be back Sunday. It's more of a caution thing than anything because he hasn't practiced due to the All Star Break.

OK I'd rather be over cautious I guess. The question should be asked, who gave him the OK to play that one game he played between the original diagnose and now. Looks like maybe there was a lack of communication somewhere. That could have been a disaster.

If it just me or does it seem like the Raptors coach Dwayne Casey isn't good enough to incorporate their new players into his system? By his system I mean alternating iso's between Kyle and Demar

This entire Warriors/McGee/Shaq feud that they're talking about on the pre-game show is just ridiculous. Grow up, people. How do the Warriors go from America's team a year ago to one of the biggest villains in sports in just a year?

By the way, I cannot stand Jaylen Rose. I liked him as a player, but as an analyst he's pretty much worthless. Chauncey is a bit better, but even he isn't that great either.

Too bad Lowry is out, would have liked to see Toronto at full strength.

Guess that kind of equals out with Bradley still being out.

That said ,  I still think the Raptors at home with their new improvements  may yet hold the advantage .

Ha,ha, ha. JP, you wrote six sentences and six of them were negative.  Getting into game thread shape a bit early? ;)

At least it wasn't about the C's!   ;)

And by the way, I'm actually a pretty optimistic person as a whole. I know I get a bit negative at times in the game threads, but that's mostly a product of the swings in the game.

I'll make a  post-All Star Break resolution to be less negative in the game threads and overall about the C's just for you Hwang!  :P
