Sounded like it is serious talks. No brk picks included. They were doing a trade machine segment

Did the George talks fall apart already or are we adding both?

Unless we plan to play him at PF, this strikes me like a move for a guy that doesn't address a need, and isn't under contract after the end of this year (there's no way he's picking up his 2017-8 PO). So.... why do we need this?!

I don't think there's any way we do both. This is probably a Plan B kinda deal. Or a deliberate leak to get Indiana and/or Chicago to drop their price  ;D

I don't know why we would do this other than wanting more scoring off the bench, for this year only?  this feels like making a move just to make a move

At this point, it doesn't even feel like we need scoring off the bench unless we plan to reinsert Bradley with the starters right away. I mean, this is essentially getting a better player for the Jonas Jerebko role. Decidedly a ho-hum move.

Why in a world would we need Gallinari beside Crowder, Jaylen and Jerebko who can all cover that position?

Well its from Windhorst so who knows....

Quote
The Boston Celtics may fall short of acquiring Jimmy Butler or Paul George ahead of the 3 p.m. ET NBA trade deadline. But on Thursday’s SportsCenter with Cari Champion, ESPN.com’s Brian Windhorst said that one possible Celtics plan B is to trade for Denver Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari.
