Multiple teams around the league believe Indy isn't seriously shopping Paul George, & is gathering info rather than looking to move him now.

No but it's being reported in a lot of places too.

Depends a lot on if Pacers actually make a move.

If they don't, then how would PG13 feel?

when are we going to stop reading into stuff like this.

This means nothing (not that it was ever likely for George to be traded)

Sounds like something Ainge would do. Heck, maybe he's doing that now, preparing for the summer in case we strike out in FA.

This is my trade proposal for Indy. Gives us Myles and George and you can have both Nets picks. It gives us Center of the future, plus George for a year and quarter. It is a lot, but we get a lot.

http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine
I like it, but think Indy needs more.  Turner is more valuable than the uncertain 2018 pick right now.  George is more valuable than the 2017 pick.  But I do like the general foundation for the Celts.  Also, it would be pretty devastating for Indy to trade away their best player now AND their brightest future piece in the same deal without a single tangible player coming back.  Devastating such that I don't think balancing out the trade in terms of fairness could even justify them pulling the trigger.  In the offseason, possibly, once there is a player attached to that 2017 pick, but not now.  Smart being included might be enough to make it happen in the offseason.

Feels like we're giving up a lot, but celts still have a stacked and versatile team of:

IT4/Rozier
Bradley/PG13/Jaylen
PG13/Crowder/Jaylen
Horford/Crowder
Turner/Horford

As deep as that looks, its only 8 players, haha.  But man, I'd really like that team.

Found this little tidbit really interesting. Indiana really does not seem confident that George will re-up with them long-term, as evidenced by them actively inviting teams to make bids for George. Sure does seem like they're ready to deal him if they can get an offer they like. It also seems like LAL and Boston were two specific teams that he might have interest in resigning with long-term.

USA Today reported Wednesday that George recently met with Pacers owner Herb Simon to expound face-to-face on what he told ESPN's Marc Stein last week during All-Star festivities on ESPN Radio: George still longs to lead Indiana to its first NBA championship but wants to know he's part of a title-contending roster before committing to a lucrative contact extension this summer.

Sources confirmed to ESPN in the wake of that meeting with Simon that Indiana has since invited teams like the Lakers and Boston Celtics to make pitches for George this week in advance of Thursday's 3 p.m. ET trade deadline. The Pacers, at the same time, also continue to pursue roster upgrades of their own, after ESPN's Chris Haynes reported last week that the Pacers have made their first-round pick in the June draft available in current trade conversations in hopes of strengthening George's supporting cast.

Where did you read that we might be a team he's interested in?

If they're not making a move to make their team better and they're not trading us George, then they deserve every 9th place finish that they get

Update on Boston, Indy: Boston hasn't met Indiana's asking price on Paul George, but Nets pick has entered conversation now, sources say.

Wish we could do it for the 18 but if there's not too much on top of it - say Bradley and some lesser stuff - I'd get behind it. George could be a game-changer, and he's won (some) in the playoffs.

I think you need to pull the trigger. If you're signing up players like Horford for big money, you're in win now mode. PG is 26, and will be a stud for at least 5-6 more years. Go for it..

Yeah. I would support including the 17 in the deal, depending upon the other price. George moves the needle.

And I certainly would like to move Bradley before his Achilles explodes.
