Would you do it (plus Tyler Ennis, to make numbers work)?
Would Houston (they had good results with Hilario and Harrell when Capela was out)?
Would it be worth it to add a pick (Celtics18, Clippers or a bunch of seconds)?

I doubt Houston would do that deal, they are very high on Capela and KO is soon to be FA.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
no way. Capela is great, but KO is going to be a better overall player.

We are going to sign KO to a long term deal soon.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Capela is better than Olynyk.  I don't think it is even all that close.

Are you fine with trading/letting one of Smart, Bradley, or Isaiah go? Because they're not re-signing Olynyk while re-signing all three of those guys.

Oh, and to answer the question, I don't see why Houston does it. They have Anderson to play the exact role Olynyk would play on the Rockets, except Anderson is better at it.

No Olynyk is better.

No Capela is better.

No Olynyk is better.

No Capela is better.

At the very least, we know that CBS is not interested in rim runners. He wants skilled bigs to play in his offense. Olynyk is that. Capela is not.

Take Olynyk away from our second unit and watch the offense wither and die.

Great words from a great man

Good Lord, what a thorough waste of millions that would be.
