I kind of feel like PJ Tucker and Bogut are each the last minute deals to be made.

If no one steps up and PG13/Butler stay put, Danny will likely go after one.

But I doubt they add BOTH. I don't see Ainge trading for two "rentals". One maybe.

Tucker seems like Ainge's kind of guy but Bogut fills a bigger need.

You think we're going to trade Jae/AB for those guys??  ::)

What a joke! You're way off base.

This makes sense.  Either deal is the kind you will hear about on Thursday evening (last minute) once all the big deals are made (which may or may not include the Celtics).

Strictly depending on if we make a big deal using amir's contract and jae/AB

Quote
An NBA source tells us the Celtics and Mavs can be expected to talk about an Andrew Bogut trade. But there is an ‘if’ and there is a ‘fit’ that must be addressed. – via Scout.com

I have a feeling these moves will happen as well (if no big trade materialises)... minor moves but gives the team a better chance to get out of the 1st round and possibly round two

1st trade
To Mavs:  Amir Johnson,  James Young,  2017 2nd round pick (Wolves)
To Celtics: Bogut, Finney-Smith

2nd trade
To Suns:  Tyler Zeller, Jordan Mickey, 2017 2nd round picks (cavs, clippers)
To Celtics: PJ Tucker, Barbosa

Celtics lineup

Bogut
Horford
Crowder
AB
IT4

KO
Jerebko/Tucker
Brown/Tucker
Smart/Green
Rozier/Barbosa

if Bogut comes cheap, like a 2nd rounder or something, I'd do it in a heart beat. He'd be playing Amir minutes or Zeller minutes but I like what he brings to the table

set hard picks, pretty good interior defense.

Or he might become the next David Lee...

The current David Lee or the one that was on the Celtics? He's actually playing pretty well for the Spurs.

also probably needs to include James Young

sacrilege.  >:(
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I would guess PJ Tucker is a backup plan for if we deal Crowder or Brown and don't take back a small forward. There is no reason to get him otherwise.

Getting Bogut would be a near zero risk deal, so I could see that happening pretty easily.

Zero reason for Bogut not to be on this team.  Zeller and a 2nd gets it done.  If Dallas turns that down they are idiots.
