Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders:

"He’ll opt out of his final $24.26 million and ink a new deal with the Clippers for north of $200 million. While Knicks fan often dream of a Carmelo Anthony-Paul tandem, it’s not going to happen. Sources close to the process said that it’s already been verbally agreed to and it’s simply a function of the calendar and the new Collective Bargaining Agreement kicking in."

Griffin also reportedly plans to re-sign as well.

Griffin reportedly plans to re-sign quickly this summer. And it seems Paul will follow suit.

And it's not just this site (NBC Sports), other sites have reported it and other reporters on Twitter in the LA area.

But yeah, CP3 and Blake Griffin are easily worth way north of 150M, but IT isn't worth a large contract w/Bird Rights. Trade him Danny..  ::)

so this means Griffin to Boston....

GOOD!!! I like him, but he's an injury risk.

This means nothing other than Paul is staying.

If Griffin stayed, he would resign because he likes LA.

Take reports like these with a grain of salt. There is no such thing as a verbal commitment when it comes to UFA's.

The Griffin 'throw-in' seems much more relevant to us. Of course Chris Paul is staying in LA, but we always had hopes for Griffin leaving to wear green.

Back in January Griffin already said "I'll resign with the Clippers and get done with it quickly".
Butler is not going to be traded unless godfather offer (so it won't happen from Danny).
PG is not getting traded at least before the trade deadline (he might become available around draft day).
So, be prepare to have not trade from Danny, or minimal ones.
And I'll be fine with it.

IDK about the voice of God, but from what I understand Kyler is pretty plugged in around NBA circles.

If they do re-sign, that is good for the C's chances of getting the Clips lottery protected pick in 2019 or 2020.  :)

Historically speaking, the "voice of god" is way Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ing more unreliable than "multiple sauces."  All offense intended.

All three are on TV 20 times a night.  Making a new commercial every other month.

None will leave the CA TV gig , till they are no longer top trier players or till the owners want to move on with younger team and trade them.

CP3 is a CA boy now .  Unless he joins a super ready made contender like LeBron , I d say their is Zero chance he ever plays in the east.   Unless their was contender in Miami .

All three will eventually play for Tx or Lakers teams to close out their careers.

I just don't believe Griffin will ever be available until CP3 gives up or is traded to another team.

Then Doc will quit again.
