At this point, let's just stop making threads and acknowledge that the Celtics are after EVERY SINGLE PLAYER NOT on the Cavaliers or Warriors.

I don't want to hear any "Danny is not doing anything" BS. He's actively seeking additional help, just not a steep price like Boogie was.

To be fair...Boogie wasnt a particularly steep price in the end haha.

Considering Boston, yes he was. Divac asked far more from Boston in return than from Pelicans.

What was Divac asking and what was Danny willing to give?

I assume it was one of BKN picks, Smart or Brown, which they were high on. I wouldn't give up those for a ticking time bomb either.

This conversation seems a little weird to me.

OBVIOUSLY, Vlade puts in a call to Danny to check whether he wants to beat the Pels deal. Unless, Vlade is being serious when he says that he thinks Buddy has a chance at being the next Steph, Danny just wasn't willing to beat it.

Hell it's entirely possible, even probable, that Danny (and Stevens) said no to offering Zeller and Amir.

Would give them either of those guys and a Brooklyn pick without a second thought

Bringing up another strawman argument, I see  ::)

Last time I checked, IT was brought in for peanuts. Danny won't necessarily target big names like in your fantasy. If anything, it will be a lowkey players that no one talks about and will be severely underrated by people like you.

Help =/= flexibility killing moves.

I wouldn't. Lakers refused to give them Ingram. Why would I give them any of Smart, Brown and the BKN picks?

I actually think Ingram will be a really good player for what its worth. He just currently disappears when he turns sideways. Isn't close to an NBA ready body.

Bogut would be my least preferable big to acquire.  Too old and injury-prone.
