If I'm not mistaken, he has an option that he can opt out of (and he probably will especially if the Clippers have another sub par postseason run).

Can you imagine CP3 returning to NO, teaming up with Cousins, AD and a solid shooter in Holiday. CP3 orchestrating that team while AD and Cousins form the "twin towers". That would be something.

Could actually alter the landscape of the West a bit. Warriors aren't equipped to handle size unless you think Zaza Pachulia and JaVale McGee going forward can handle AD/Boogie.

Of course we still have to see if Cousins/AD pairing works out for the rest of the season, but if it does that will be something special. I also would LOVE to see a Pelicans-Warriors first round matchup. Golden State likely still win but wouldn't surprise me if NO steals a few games with their size.

Some NOP fans expressed this wish at their SB nation forum yesterday.

IMO even if CP3 agrees to come, the contracts can turn out to be tricky.

Personally, I quite like Jrue Holiday this year. I think NOP's priority is instead to get a good SG/SF. They were never good in these positions, and after the trade they have no depth (not that their starters -E'twaun Moore and Solomon Hill- are something special).

I think CP3 would be indicted for murdering Cousins by the end of preseason.

Fixed.

Cousins is the one who deeply dislikes CP3's playing style and flopping tendencies.

Maybe they take each other out.

New Orleans would have to figure out how to clear about $25 million in salary to make room for CP3.  I don't see that happening terribly easily.

Surely he sees by now Rivers is not going to bring them o the promised land.  They don't have enough talent to win a title without three or four other teams best players falling to injury all at the same time.

He has to move somewhere .

As a die-hard Mets fan, this pleased me greatly.
