I know this is a bad night to bring up Isaiah's greatness, after the frustrating loss, but I was thinking about how he's only the second Celtic in my life who just had that "it factor" where you expected him to pull it out every time and was shocked in the rare occasions that he didn't.  The other being Larry Bird (sorry Pierce, nowhere close).

Then, it just hit me ... IT ... "The it factor!".

Ya?  Nay?

The IT guy. (Fixes everything)
"You don't know him from a can of paint, but the fact that you can walk up to him and have that same respect, and offer that, it goes a long way for a lot of people" - Kyrie Irving, employing an old African American aphorism to discuss the Kaepernick maelstrom), September 2017.

The IT guy has a nice ring to it, but no offense, it doesn't imply greatness.  It would be better suited for a "glue guy" who does a little bit of everything.  Also, many IT guys end up looking at the situation for a long time, wasting your time, and not fixing anything.   ;)

And, the little guy is a fun thing for Tommy to call IT, but doesn't have that national cache or uniqueness.

But, I take it by the lack of replies to this thread that there's not a lot of support for "The IT Factor".  Where's the love?

Thinking about it more, "The IT guy" works if you don't pronounce it as "I.T" but rather "it" as in he's the "it" guy right now.

cool, but I think I've seen that on a shirt or something.

How about this nick name for Jaylen Brown and Gerald Green, Beef and Broc?

What the heck is wrong with IT.
No creativity.  It's like TMac, JLo, ARod.  Weak sauce.

I don't think he's really known nationally for that.  It's like PP.  People on Celtics Blog use it and know it, but nationally, I don't think so.  It's possible, that it becomes his nickname, nationally, like KG, but if he had a more creative nickname, it might bring him more national sponsorship.

Try googling "NBA KG" and you'll see Kevin Garnett pop up.  Try googling "NBA IT" ....

I know some on here won't like the reference but what about the Mini Mamba?

Other than the Black Mamba, I believe Mamba's are predominantly green and Thomas is deadly when it matters most.
