When I watched sportscenter this morning, it honestly looked like contact was made on the elbow. Granted that call isn't made 99/100 times, and the ref totally watched to see if it went in, but by the rules it looked like a foul.

However, I am convinced if the exact same motions were made by a "superstar" we wouldn't be having this discussion. For example, if it was LBJ, people would be talking about how his defense won the game on the last play, like Smarts should have.

This is why I think Ainge should make a move.

I don't think the context of this game is evidence of why the Cs should make a move right now. Any move should be on the basis of getting closer to winning a title, and most of the conditions of this game are not particularly reflective of that.

We got outrebounded by 20, and he needs to get a big.

2008 team was a sub-par rebounding team too. Yes, it'd be good to improve this area, but a knee jerk trade for a rebounder who rings not much else would be a waste.

The 08 team was an average rebounding team (12th in RPG) but they were 3rd in rebounding margin.. In comparison, this year's team is 28th in RPG and 26th in differential.. I agree with you though, a move for just a rebounder wouldn't make much sense.

Those teams year by year were told to get back on defense and not go for any offensive rebounds. IM guessing 1 or 2 rebounds more a game added to those would have made that 08 team a top 5 rebounding team

I sent this email to a friend of mine:

I would have helped IF we had NOT got out-rebounded by 20!!!  Hello Danny, were YOU watching??

That being said, Horford ONLY had 2 Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ing rebounds and had a PER of 6.  Crowder had a PER of 3 and was 0-3 from three!!!

That being said, this was a back to back for us and we were playing in our 6th city in 9 days!!!!!  No AB and no Jaylen (you can diss him all you want to, but he was (is) coming around and is a solid defender that could have really helped vs. Butler!!!!).

Good news is that we are still 17 games OVER .500 and still in 2nd place in the East (barely) and AB is supposed to be back after the break and we ONLY have 12 more road games and ONLY 4 back to backs left.  Cleveland has 15 more road games left and 7 back to backs.  Washington has 17 more road games and 6 back to backs.

We better take advantage of those FACTS.

And, Danny, please HUMOR us and get us a rebounder on or by February 23rd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you can't see we got pounded on the boards by 20 rebounds then I truly feel sorry for you.  Do you really think that we can win a title with the team as it stands.   I will remind Carslisle said that we could reach the finals, he did not say we could win it.

This is not the 2008 team.  That team had three surefire Hall of Famers, we have perhaps one now.    They were clear favorites we are not now.   It is a utterly  irrelevent comparison of apples and oranges.  Our compostion is nothing like that team.   What the heck were you thinking man?

BTW, I did not say anything about a rebounder who only rebounds.  I said we need a big.  .   I think we need a big, even Ainge admits this but I think we are looking for a skilled one.

Last 2 minute report.

It was the correct call for the Smart foul on Butler and the correct no call on Horford's last second shot attempt.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

All I took out of this game is that we are probably going to really struggle with our late game half court offense during the playoffs without a true second option.

Our second option is injured. That's not the problem, its the rebounding.

Bradley has not been nor will he ever be a true second option for a deep playoff team/contender. He is, however, a fine two-way complementary player.

But he's their 2nd leading scorer who would've helped this team in the game.
